(Readers POV)

Me and my team are in combat class.

Glynda: Alright class. This is combat class. I will be choosing two students to duel. Their aura levels will be shown. Once one of their aura gets too low, they lose.

I can't wait to see who gets picked first. Glynda pushed something on her scroll and the screen that shows the aura level started to shuffle through pictures of everyone in class. They stopped and I saw it was me versus Weiss.

Glynda: Weiss Schnee versus (Y/N) (L/N).

I started to excited. I'm the first match. I looked at Weiss.

(Y/N): Let's fight fair and square.

She just looked at me and we went to the locker rooms to change into clothes more suited for battle. We came out and walked into the arena.

Weiss: Time to bring honor to my name.

She's fighting for honor? I thought this was to have fun and learn something from our fights.

Glynda: And begin!

Weiss dashed at me using these weird white glyphs on the floor. I put my arms up to block any attacks. She started to thrust her rapier at me. I started to dodge and I went for a kick. She used her blade to block my kick.

(Y/N): This is going to be fun. Time turn up the heat!

I punched her and she was sent back. I activated my semblance and fire started to come from my body. I tried to dash forward at Weiss, but I couldn't move my legs. I looked down to see a black glyph under my feet.

(Y/N): Hey! Get me off of this thing!

Weiss: Lets finish this.

She dashed forward at me and slashed me with her rapier. A bunch of white glyphs appeared around me and Weiss started jump from glyph to glyph, hitting me while she went. I looked at my aura levels and they're getting low. I made a bunch of fire around me to shield me from Weiss.

(Y/N): Fire burst!

The fire quickly spread across the arena. The glyphs disappeared and I can move again. Weiss took some damage, but can still fight. I see her starting to sweat and taking deep breaths.

(Y/N): Getting too hot in here?

I looked around and everyone else is sweating. Good thing my aura protects me from the heat and my fire. I started to make up more fire. The clothes on me starting to slowly burn away.

(Y/N): Let's get this over with.

Weiss: I couldn't agree more.

We started to run at each other. I see my leg go up. I looked down to see a white glyph under me. I was in the air and Weiss thrusted her rapier at me. I was sent back and I landed on the floor. I got up, but heard a buzzer.

Glynda: That's the match. (Y/N) (L/N) has lost too much aura. Now please, turn off your fire. It's getting hot in here.

I turned off my flames. I looked at my clothes and they are burnt. My shirt is barely staying on and my pants that were once long, but now they only reach my knees. I walked up to Weiss.

(Y/N): Good fight.

I extended my hand for a hand shake. She looked at my hand and shook it.

Weiss: It was a good fight. You fought honorably.

We made our way back to the seats. I sat down with my team and Weiss sat down next to hers.

Sky: You did really well out there (Y/N).

(Y/N): Thanks Sky.

Natura: You almost won against Weiss Schnee. Your semblance is awesome.

(Y/N): I guess. Wish I didn't burn my clothes every time I use it though.

(Torn's POV)

How did this fool become leader? He lost his very first match here. I gave him a glare. He noticed and looked away. I swear I can beat him with one arm tied behind my back.

Glynda: The next match will be Torn versus Cardin.

Cardin: You better not cry when I beat you.

I just scoffed and went to the locker room to change into my battle clothes. I walked to the arena and waited for Cardin. He walked onto the arena with a smug look on his face. He has no idea what he is in for.

Glynda: Let the second match... Begin!

Cardin instantly rushed over to me. He swung his mace at me. I caught it in my hand.

Cardin: What the?!

I started to make a bunch of strong wind. I made a small tornado in the hand I was holding the mace in. Cardin was sent into the air.

Torn: You better not cry!

I clenched my hand and made the tornado send him into a wall. He grunted in pain, but I wasn't down with him yet. I made three more tornadoes. They all combined and formed one huge tornado.

Torn: It's over.

Cardin was was spinning around at a high speed. He was sent through the ceiling of the room and was sent outside. I got rid of the tornado and sighed.

Torn: What a weakling. He didn't even do damage to me. Looks like I'm the winner.

Glynda: Torn has won the fight by... ring out.

I walked back to my seat and sat down.

(Y/N): That was amazing.

Torn: What?

(Y/N): You can make tornadoes. You can do so much with that kind of power.

Is he just mocking me at this point? I started to get mad, but I took a deep breath. He is starting to get annoying. I decided to just ignore him. He noticed that I was paying attention to him and he stopped, finally.

(Time skip) (Readers POV)

The bell rung, meaning that class is over and combat class is the last class of the day. Everyone got up and left. Me and my team made our way to our dorm. We quickly made it there and I sat down on the bed.

(Y/N): Today has been fun.

I looked at the dresser and saw that the Natura's flower is wilting. Natura noticed and walked over to it. She placed her hands on the pot and her hands started to glow. The flower started to stand upright and looked as healthy as can be.

(Y/N): Woah. How did you do that?

Natura: That's my semblance. I call it Life Giver. I can restore plants.

Torn: Sounds kinda pointless in a fight.

Natura: Come over here.

Torn did and Natura held the flower up to Torn's face. A purple smoke came out the flower and Torn started to cough.

Natura: I can give plants special little abilities too.

I chuckled and Natura placed the flower back on the dresser. I went to the dresser to get some new clothes. I don't like wearing burnt clothes. I got some and walked into the bathroom. I quickly changed and walked out. I saw that Sky is already working on her homework.

(Y/N): Hey Sky. Want to work on our homework together? I'm not that good with homework.

Sky: Sure. This stuff is pretty easy for me and I would like to help someone with their homework.
