"I can do it! No wait... can I? Summoning a hero can't be that easy!"

Currently you were at war with yourself by wondering if today you should summon a hero. Apparently there were two hero who could summon heroes from different worlds, you, but you on the other hand weren't so sure about that.

Your best friend Alfonse was so sure of it, so you were only going with it too show him you could summon a hero... if it a better place to word it. Right now you were holding the summoning orb with shaky hands, the blue orb just waiting to summon a hero from it.

"(y/n)," the door to your room opened up, "what are you doing?"

You screamed and almost dropped the ball, but you knew who the voice was from. It was Alfonse's sister, Sharena, the princess of Askr. You both knew each other a long time ago... it seems just like yesterday that you were only playing with dolls, and now playing with weapons it seemed like.

Sharena giggled at your shakiness. "I know you well enough that you're nervous about something."

You sighed and put the orb back down on the pillow where you first had it. "I don't think I'm a summoner. I can't be Sharena, I haven't even touched a spell book in my life before. This doesn't make any sense to be in the slightest."

"Hmmm... well it is strange that you've never been able to wield or summon magic... but maybe summoning magic is different, what if it's not magic at all?"

"What on earth are you talking about?"

"It's like this," she explained with a smile on her face, "if you have the courage and willpower, you can summon whatever kind of hero from the orb you chose. That what I like to think it's like to summon a hero, but even being royalty doesn't help much."

The door knocked as you jumped, once again. You were an easy person to scare at times... Sharena opened the door as you heart skipped a beat, it was Alfonse. He was dressed in his usual wear for battle, but the smile he always wore would never kill the feelings you had for it.

"(y/n), are you ready to summon a hero yet?"

"I-"

"Of course she is!" Sharena interrupted and hugged you, "It's always been her dream to become and summon a hero, isn't it, (y/n)?"

She wasn't wrong there. You read in books about people summoning heroes from orbs, but you never thought you were or become one. Alfonse smiled and came up to you, taking one of your hands into his. "It's alright if you're nervous. You can try it out in front of us. We're here for you."

"R-Right..."

You picked up the blue orb, feeling the power of the hero inside ready to unleash. With Alfonse guiding the way you put the orb into the holder. Suddenly, the ground shook with blue energy, before releasing it into the sky.

You couldn't believe your eyes. You managed to summon a hero. It was spell hero, a powerful hero by the name of Leo.

Alfonse smiled and hugged you tightly to him. "I knew you could do it... you really can summon heroes..."

You blushed and hugged him back. "Does... this mean I can enter into the war? I can be of help."

You felt Alfonse tighten at the mention of war, but he soon relaxed and pulled away so he could see your face. "If you think you're ready for war, then you'll be so much help to the army. Let's end this war as fast as we can, so I can take you to a place after this."

"R-Really...? Where is it?"

Alfonse smiled and clasped both your hands together. "It's a secret to royals... but I will show you in due time..."
