Karn told Duryodhan that Sagarika declined his wedding proposal and also insulted his friend. Gandhari-nandan fumed in anger listening to it.

The morning Duryodhan looked for her everywhere and got to know she went to waterfalls.

Reaching the waterfalls Duryodhan saw Sagarika on the swing, all alone by herself lost in thoughts.

"SAGARIKA !" Duryodhan yelled. Sagarika got up and looked at him with a frowned.

"Yuvraj ?" She got confused as to why he is here.

"You declined my wedding proposal and even insulted my Mitra Karn !" Duryodhan said.

"If one who is insulted by truth surely has a gain from falsehood." Sagarika said.

"Why did you deny my proposal ?!" Duryodhan asked.

"Why does one deny a marriage proposal ? Because they don't want to marry." Sagarika deadpanned.

"You're not thinking big enough Sagarika, if you marry me you will become Queen of Hastinapoor and with you by my side I will conquer the entire Aryavart and make you the Samragyi. Jewels, luxuries, riches, you will have everything. We both together will rule over this entire Yug." Duryodhan said.

"You are a princess, others will make you queen of a kingdom but I will make you the queen of a Yug, Kaliyug !" A voice ringed in Sagarika's head.

"Kingdoms, empires, Yugas come and go. I want love that you can never offer." Sagarika said senselessly, she was confused as to how these words left her mouth.

"What did you say ?" Duryodhan asked in a deadly tone bringing Sagarika to her senses.

"I will not marry you." Sagarika said.

"Then there will be consequences." Duryodhan said.

"What do you mean ?" Sagarika frowned.

"If you don't agree to our marriage, then Kuru warriors such as Mahamahim Bhism, Guru Dronacharya, Kripacharya and my friend Angraj Karn will annihilate your entire Kingdom, massacre all your citizens, then I will fill the parting of your hair with their blood." Duryodhan said.

Sagarika looked at him with disbelief, how can someone be so blinded by lust that they are ready to go on a killing spree.

"Tell me what do you say now ?" Duryodhan asked.

Sagarika looked away not knowing what to say, it was her life and the life of the citizens who love her so much.

"I will marry you either way, so don't think much. Cause if you do then along with Saurashtra, your entire family will be massacred." Duryodhan said.

"Two days from now our wedding shall take place." Duryodhan said and walked away.

Few tears fell from Sagarika's eyes as she fell on the ground sobbing.

"Hey Narayan...." Sagarika sobbed.

"Sagarika ?" Someone called she quickly wiped her tears realizing it was Arjun.

He came in front of her and then noticed her tear stained face.

"Why are you crying ? Is it about yesterday ? Am I the reason for your tears ?" Arjun asked. She shook her head a No.

"Then who made you cry ?" Arjun asked.

She looked at him and saw how worried he was, he would be heartbroken when she tells him about her and Duryodhan's marriage.

"I have to say tell you something." She said.

"What is it ?" Arjun asked.

"I am supposed to be married to Duryodhan in two days. Please go back to Indraprasth." Sagarika said.

"What ?" Arjun muttered.

"He threatens to annihilate Saurashtra, he threatens to massacre everyone in this Kingdom if I don't marry him. I am left with no choice." Sagarika said.

"I didn't know he could stoop so low." Arjun said.

"Listen to me and please go back to Indraprasth, it will be easy for you when you won't see my marriage." Sagarika said.

"Indeed easy for me but what about you Sagarika ? Can you stay with a cruel man like him for the rest of your life ?" Arjun asked.

"Wherever I will be, with Narayan's grace I will be happy. But I cannot see a good man like you breaking apart from inside just because of me. Just go back." Sagarika said.

"As you wish Sagarika." Arjun said leaving.

As he walked away, tears streamed down his face, a feeling of eternal hopelessness and helplessness took over him. But it was as if he had felt it before.
