In the Emerald forest war was in the air everyone knew that the fire Island army was going to attack.  Schools were dismissed early, Clover was waiting for her brother Bramble to get her as he had promised if this ever happened, he came and got her together they ran home. Once there Bramble ordered Clover to go to the safe house and stay there till the battle was over. "Bramble, why can't I help fight with you?" she protested "because you're only 15 you have to be 18 to fight!" But-" "No!" So she went into the safe house without any more protest. After about 10 minutes of silence, a thought crossed her mind I have to escape!

     Far away on the fire island, another girl wanted to run away but for a different reason.  "Ashley!" yelled her father "What?!" she said very annoyed for she had been drawing, "Get changed into a dress and then get down here!" "Why?!" She said since she hated dresses, " It is your sister Tiger Lily's birthday remember!" "You mean step-sister and why would I wear a dress for a worthless occasion?" she said rolling her eyes. Her father stomped up the stairs furious and appeared in her doorway, but all she did was flip him a sign that he didn't need to know sign language to understand before slamming her door in his face. Then one thought crossed her mind "I have to escape this nightmare!"
