"So what's Henry like around you?" I asked Yeper.

Yeper stayed silent for a few seconds as she must've thought of an answer. "Well... he's a bit dorky sometimes. Especially with his sciences. He was quite shy when I first met him, but he's quickly warming up to me I think."

I nodded. "So much so that he felt comfortable enough to kiss you."

"On the cheek!" Yeper corrected.

I snickered. "I know. I just like saying it like that, and watching you get all defensive."

She huffed. "Never mind."

Just then, we both heard the door open and close. "I'm home!" A voice said at the door.

It was Tendo.

I stood up and walked to the door to see him. "Hi Tendo."

He smiled. "Hi."

Yeper still sat in the living room when I briefly looked over at her. She must've been contemplating how to tell Tendo about Henry.

I turned my vision back to him. "How was school?"

He shivered. "You sound like mom. But school was average. Nothing super out of the ordinary. What about you?"

I thought back to how Cindi and I spoke, and how she got upset and ran off. "Oh... nothing much."

Tendo cocked his head past me to see Yeper. "And there's the ice queen. Heyo Yeper."

She looked at him and half-smiled. "Hi. And, I told you to not call me the ice queen like, four years ago!"

He chuckled. "I know. I just like it. Plus, I only do it like, once every three or four days."

Yeper turned her head.

Tendo and I both walked into the living room, and sat.

Tendo looked around and made little noises with his mouth. "So..."

I nodded. "I know. It's a bit awkward."

Yeper looked at Tendo. "Tendo, don't tell mom yet, but I am close friends with someone, and it might turn into an actual relationship later on."

I went silent.

Tendo looked at her with a completely blank expression. "You mean boyfriend?"

Her left front paw rubbed her right front leg. "Well... not now. But it might turn into that."

He exhaled. "Ok. So what you're saying is: you've known someone for a while, and now you're friends with each other, but you think it'll develop into something more soon?"

She nodded.

Tendo nodded. "I see. Well then..."

He walked right in front of her and sat; putting his paw on her shoulder. "Congrats sis."

We were both surprised at this response. I personally thought that he would've gone berserk, and start throwing out a bunch of reasons why she shouldn't be dating at this age.

Yeper seemed equally shocked. "Wait... what? You're... congratulating me?"

He nodded. "Yep."

Yeper narrowed her gaze. "This isn't a front that's hiding your true thoughts that are about to burst out is it?"

He shook his head. "Nope. This is sincere."

I blinked and shrugged when she looked at me for answers.

She looked down, to the side, and then back at him. "You're serious, serious?"

He then hugged Yeper; which took her more by surprise then me. "I am. You deserve good things like this. Just, do me a favor, and don't have picked the wrong guy. I don't want my little sister getting hurt."

He withdrew and looked at her. He smirked. "You should see your face. Just a teeny blush on it."

She blinked several times. "W-well how can I not? You almost never hug me!"

He shrugged. "Well I'm gonna start trying to do it more often. Not just to you, but to everyone." He turned to me, and spread out his arms. "Come here brotha."

I shook my head. "Pass."

He smiled. "Not an option."

I rolled my eyes and just decided to let him. We hugged it out like true brothers. Though... it felt a bit weird.

We both withdrew and I nodded. "You can feel free t not do it as much with me."

He nodded as well. "Yeah. That felt a bit weird to me."

Yeper laughed. "You two are so strange, it's funny!"

I snickered, and Tendo chuckled a bit.

A good-hearted moment between siblings.
