CASE SUMMARY :

Our lives are one long string of choices. We choose to get out of bed, we choose whether or not to take a shower. We choose our breakfast. It seems pretty simple, when looking at it in this way. But when you take a moment to analyze other decisions you make, you realize that you were just one choice away from an entirely different life. Whether it was to accept the job at one company over the other, or choosing a college far away from home rather than one closer. Every choice we make ultimately leads us to where we need to be, but we often regret the choices we make.

Sieamone Cabot had once choice that altered her life forever and she regretted it deeply. It haunted every corner of her hometown, so she applied to a university in the middle of nowhere, hoping to find peace. When she got accepted and given a full ride, she could hardly wait to leave. She barely visited home, choosing to travel on her summers off. Her first two years of university went by smoothly, and she anticipated her third year to be the same way, but boy was she wrong.

Luca Fantilli was never a fan of making choices, but he did so anyway because life made him. He chose to apply to UMICH, and when he got accepted, he chose to go. He didn't regret many choices he had made. He played for the UMICH Wolverines and for three years everything was fine. Until his coach decided that his team needed to be faster and smoother on the ice, therefore signing them up to get lesson with a dance instructor, who would teach them how to be more flexible and ultimately gain more speed. Luca woke up that morning, thinking he'd regret this whole experience, but he was wrong.

When Sieamone gets asked if she wants to train a sports team for some extra credit, she doesn't hesitate at saying yes, but when she finds out it's a bunch of hockey players, she regrets it immediately. The UMICH Wolverines dread having to take dance classes to improve their flexibility and sudden moves on ice, especially Luca.

But what happens when the pair lay eyes on each other for the first time? Luca is immediately infatuated while Sieamone couldn't care less. She told herself that she would not date anyone again for a while after what happened last time, but Luca has plans to break that.

Can Luca break the pact she made with herself and show her that he's not like those before him? And can Luca help Sieamone through a major crisis, or will she push him away like she has done before? Can Sieamone learn to trust herself and her heart again or will she just shut down and freeze him out? And will she ever learn how to live with her past mistakes, and not let them haunt her?
