The power of light had once again taken its throne within Natanstrelle.

Through Illuminare-Trabem's words, the darkness melted from all walls. Shadows retreated from every street within Central City and its surrounding villages. Dark magic fled from every nook and cranny amongst the trees within Natanstrelle's forests - Night and Strelle.

Beautiful sparks of light rose into the air, like floating stars into the sky, banished the dark clouds and left a glistening sapphire glow in their stead. This glow reflected off the land's lakes and blessed the surrounding valleys. All plants and creatures rejoiced in the hope and peace that flourished upon the land once again.

Natanstrelle was back to its former glory.

Also, stood on the edge of Eartem, was Lux Palace; fully restored by light magic. The stained-glass windows threw patterns upon its white and gold walls. The golden furniture glistened again but the upholstery was no longer coloured red and deep purple, instead they resembled their new owners with sapphire and violet.

Changes to the palace were made by Illuminare-Trabem himself, blessing the new Royal family. The palace would no longer bear the name of Lux, Natanstrelleans now called it Astrid Palace.

Astrid and True watched the remaining, weakened shadows return to a darkened cave. Eerie, howling winds echoed amongst its damp walls, and a distant dripping sound broke its way through. It reminded Astrid of a time when she was bound by Noir Astra's power.

Her gaze fell to the floor. Lying around her feet, were a great number of dead bodies. The shadows rested upon them, before disappearing entirely. Astrid knew that these bodies belonged to those she saw bowing to Pugnum all those years ago- when she escaped his clutches.

Every one of the Natanstrellean civilians that fell victim to Noir Astra's smoky coils were now empty shells.

This harsh reality clawed at Astrid's mind and constricted her breathing. She tore herself away from True. He was holding his light orb against her forehead, whilst his right hand hovered over the Trabem pool's waters. He hurriedly returned the orb to his pouch and hugged his arms around his wife's shoulders.

Tears spilled from her white, blind eyes.

"Why did you show me this?" Astrid asked the new Royal advisor that stood at the opposite side of the Trabem Pool.

"Astrid, you are the Queen and must know the truth about all the land under your rule," Luchinda answered, wisely, but regretfully.

"They're all gone..." Astrid's lips trembled as she spoke. "Noir Astra spared none of them!"

"The darkness knew no mercy..." Luchinda declared, sombrely.

"No, the darkness was soulless, inhumane!" True added and instinctively squeezed Astrid tighter.

Anger sparked within her as she broke away from her husband's hold.

"I never want to see that place again!" Astrid snapped and violently shook her head. "Not even in my mind!" She racked her brain for a quick solution to the troubles that plagued her thoughts. "The entrance to that haunted place must be blocked! No one must ever go near it! I want that place marked!" She let out a sigh, then addressed her aunt, "Luchinda, what is the ancient spell that I can use to do this sufficiently?"

"My Astrid," True said calmly, looking deeply into her soaking wet face. He hated seeing his wife so traumatised by her past. He wanted to banish all the hurt she felt. However, thoughts of those that longed for closure, came to his mind. "You are right to close off that dark place. But we must show Natanstrelle the mercy that Noir Astra failed to do so."

"What are you suggesting, True?" Luchinda asked from her place by the pool.

"I suggest that instead of marking that place as banned to all, we name it Na Dèan Oblivi," True explained gently. "So that those who have died within that place, those stolen against their will, are not forgotten."

"Na Dèan Oblivi - Don't Forget. That's beautiful, True," Luchinda affirmed compassionately.

But True only really cared about Astrid's reaction. She was hesitant, her heart conflicted, but eventually, with a slow nod, she agreed.

"You are right," she said through a deep sigh. This brought a relieved smile to True's face. However, that look of relief did not get reflected upon Astrid's, as she fought against a feeling embedded in her gut. "We shall still block the entrance. But, carve upon the stone what you must. Natanstrelleans who wish to honour their lost loved ones are allowed to do so at that stone." She then quickly added, "but they must not stay at that place for long, they may lay down flowers and leave immediately. For that place was still the lair of darkness. The memories with their loved ones were not made there."

Luchinda and True concurred and what was decided then was made law. This was the first of many laws to be made within the tallest tower of Astrid Palace.

After seeing her mother so down in the dumps, following the strange meeting in the central tower, Amber wanted to cheer her up. She remembered how magical and safe she felt when her grandfather took her to Luna Lake. In her mind, only happy and magical things happened in that area of Natanstrelle. Therefore, this was the perfect idea to treat Astrid, but, of course one niggling thought squirmed its way in.

"I think it is a wonderful idea, I always think of that day when I first took you. An incredible moment. Astrid deserves incredible moments with you," James said, once he heard his granddaughter's plan.

"But it won't be the same, she won't..." Amber's speech trailed off into an awkward silence. She looked at her feet, so to hide her trembling bottom lip.

"It'll be alright, Amber. If we all go, the whole family, your mother will feel our love, and the magic will bless her whether she can see it or not," James reassured her whilst lifting her chin. A hopeful smile stretched her mouth and she skipped off to get her mother and father ready.

Amber didn't want to wait. They left immediately, guiding Astrid through the streets of Eartem, through the surrounding walls of the central city and headed South West towards Night Forest.

Astrid trusted everybody that walked along beside her. Amber held her right hand, True held her left and following close behind was James, Naomi, Ferrae, Malek and Luchinda. Coagha couldn't make the trip, for she was recovering from childbirth and a broken heart.

Once they reached Luna Lake, Amber turned to look at her mother's blank face.

"We're h-here, Mum." Her voice shook with anticipation.

"Yes. I feel it," Astrid responded.

She then faced the water as if she could see it lapping before her. Mysterious music vibrated through the air and reached only her ears. A tear fell from her white, smoky eye.

Nobody knew what to say, or if they should say anything. True squeezed her hand to show her he was there for her. A smile curled her lips.

"Thank you for bringing me here," she said, before stepping forward, towards the water.

It was then that a bright white light lit up the lake.

"Gealach Trabem..." Amber gasped in awe.

Soon everyone could hear the music that Astrid could hear. It was a sound that filled their hearts with a warmth like no other. As they listened, their eyes could not leave Astrid, who stood a few yards in front of them.

Suddenly, a breeze rushed amongst them. It rustled the leaves of the Gealach Custos trees, lifted the ends of Astrid's long ebony hair and played with the hem of her purple gown. Her very own pouch, that she now owned, was unmoving at her waist. The music grew louder as violet magic stretched from the dancing water of Luna Lake. It curled around her like a ribbon of purple stars.

Her family watched, astounded. Eyes wide and mouths agape.

It eventually reached her face and entered her damaged eyes. Slowly, the scales that had formed there, fell away and she could see the shining lake before her.

A laugh of pure delight left her chest.

"I can see again! Everyone! I can see!"

Luchinda then led her and Astrid's shocked kinsmen in rapturous applause. The sky reflected their celebrations with a shower of beautiful, bright shooting stars, as a great orb rose into the air from its seat in the water.

It blessed all who were present, and filled both Astrid and Amber's irises with a powerful violet glow.

Violet, a colour once seen as a curse of Noir Astra, will now, and forever more, only be seen as a sign of Royalty, blessed by the moon and by Illuminare-Trabem himself.
