Wintermint Cookie

The visions were coming more often. I hoped that they would not worsen, but I was mistaken. Every time an imminent threat came to me, the visions became more frequent and more terrifying. I knew this because when the spy came and nearly killed me, I had to block out the threat of the visions while I fought him. Same went when my parents died. My mother died first. She was fading for a long time. Her visions were even worse than mine. That's because the older you get, the worse your visions become. She died of insanity from her visions. My father died a few months afterward. He went on a mission to the Soda Kingdom to investigate how Empress Sweet Caramel died. He was caught by one of the Soda Sorcerer's minions and died at the hands of the Soda Sorcerer.

My set of visions this time was from the future. The visions from the future are always blurred and short. They rushed by. A dark vault, storing a deep red liquid that looked like blood but wasn't blood. A huddle of young children, cold and alone, scouring for food and fighting for survival. A child freezing to death on a cold street in Sodapolis. A ruin of dark, flaming rubble. The visions ended there. I went to the court and told Choco Sweet to call for Salty Potato. I had to talk to her about my visions. Everyone I have told about them has sworn to the food gods to not indulge on my secret. I started eating breakfast, and I felt a tug of sadness when I remembered the children on the streets of Sodapolis. When Salty Potato arrived, I spoke to her in quiet, hushed words.
