Salty Potato

I sighed. Was I the only person in this palace that could do makeup? Yes. The answer was yes. As I started to fancy up Madeleine with mascara, lip gloss, eyeliner, eyeshadow, contour, foundation, blah, blah, blah, for the mission, I started to almost enjoy it. It was kinda fun, but still not my style.

After the fifth failed attempt of smooth lip gloss, an idea came. "Hold on, do you have lip balm?"

Madeleine nodded. "Yeah, it's like the only makeup I have."

Also during this makeup session, I'd come across a huge bag of cosmetics that I had to remember to burn. The idea I had was to apply lip balm to her lips first, then use lipstick to seal it in. After that, I put some lip gloss on a small brush and gently dabbed it on her mouth. She looked in the mirror. She said that it looked a little too shiny for her liking, so I improvised by applying small amounts of red eyeshadow to the shiny spots. The result was pretty good if I do say so myself. Now seeing as she didn't have any blemishes on her face, the foundation wasn't needed. I simply applied some skin-colored powder to her face, so it would look a bit more even. I also put some mascara on her eyelashes, winged eyeliner, a small amount of eyeshadow to create a natural smokey eye.....

When I finished, I couldn't recognize her anymore. She looked like those models on TV that people were always idolizing, like Red Velvet Cupcake on 'Keeping up with the Cupcakes'. I really didn't like this version of her, but I still helped her choose a delicate blue velvet dress to match Wintermint Cookie's.

I sighed again and said, "Now go get your weapon. I still need to prepare the Empress for this mission." I flopped in a chair and sighed again. This mission was necessary, yet I hated it so, so much.. I had to see my friends wear too much makeup like some sassy clowns.

I eventually found that the war was beginning to start again, and so I donned my armor and headed out.
