Just when they thought things couldn't get any weirder, it seemed it had. The original group, plus three new recruits who happened to stumble upon each other were gathered in the city, in a familiar part.

(Ivan would later recall nearly dying here. Ash would shiver as she remembered Noah and Jack's limp corpses tangled with him.)

The city was silent. The citizens were still frozen gawking towards the end of the street where Zara had first seen the little girl named Squirt. That same little girl, wearing ripped clothes, with wide eyes, and brown messy hair, had already demonstrated that she was the reason every one else was frozen in time.

Also that she was looking for someone. And that, that someone had turned out to be the original group of powerful, world saving mutants.

"Excuse me?" Zara said looking down at the little girl, "what do you mean I'm dead?"

Squirt shifted behind Felix's legs--a motion that seemed to remind everyone of how young she was. The only person who seemed to have any luck talking to her was Felix.

"I don't know," She said, "That's what the man said." Squirt looked down, then she held out her palm and revealed what she had been hiding in her pocket the whole time.

The area was silent.

"The man told me to show you." Squirt sniffled, "he said you would help Donnie if I showed you this."

In her hand was a cube. A sugar cube. A horrible awful creation that nearly everyone unfrozen recognized by sight. Because it was the same sugar cube that enhanced mutant powers....The secret of which Oliver Lancaster had taken to his grave last year.
