As peaceful as the Drifting is, it's ended as abruptly as it started: with a rock very nearly taking out Ivan's head.

Almost Immediately the entire group is on their feet--several with their powers whipping up (not to name names or anything but several rocks by Jax's feet suddenly rise into the air, snowflakes douse them all in a burst of cold wind, and electricity jumps around Joel's shoulders with a sharp crackle). Ash let's out a surprised gasp, and immediately Nate is throwing himself in front of her.

The thrower of the rock stares at them. "What?" the half crystalline girl asks irritable. Despite the near miss on one of them, she doesn't allude any open attention for a fight. She rolls her eyes, crossing her arms. (At this point Ash is privy to a swell of longing that comes off her and is crushed by a bigger wave of apathy--did she always bury her emotions so violently?)

"I've got food for you," She says stiffly without looking at any of them. "If you all do that sort of thing."

It comes out passively, and then she turns around as if she doesn't care if they follow or not.  Her dress swishes around her knees, and her crystal limbs seemed to glow in the strange lighting. She hovers like she's debating saying something else and decides against it before start away.

She's not going to wait for any of them to follow, but can she really be trusted? She could be a valuable ally if they could just figure out what it was that made her so closed off. After all, she knew this world better than they did.

Cooper's statue glistens. Water laps the shore. It's peaceful--just like a calm before a storm.
