Hunk frowned in worry when he saw Katie's fingers bandaged.

" What happened?And most importantly, are you okay?!"

" Just a little accident. I'm okay." Katie replied giving him a smile.

An alarm rang from the oven making Katie jump back a bit.

" Oh the cookies must be ready!" Hunk said and Shiro raised his eyebrows,

" Are you even allowed to use the kitchen on your first day?"

Katie ignored Shiro's question and said, "..Did you just say cookies?"

Hunk grinned to see the sparkles in her eyes and answered them both, " Yes, they're peanut butter cookies and yes I am allowed to use the kitchen starting today."

Katie smiled so wide, it felt like her face was breaking.

Hunk took the cookies out and their delicious scent filled the air.

Katie took a cookie, forgetting that it was still burning hot, and yelped and dropped the cookie.

Out of reflex, Lance caught it before it hit the ground.

" Careful there." He said, handing it back to her with a grin and a wink.

Katie flushed, " Oh-um-Thank you." 

" Always." Lance replied and grabbed a cookie for himself.

" Wait a minute.." Hunk said, " We've met before!"

Lance smiled, " I believe so."

Then he bit into the cookie.

" This is delicious! Did you make this?"

Hunk nodded suddenly feeling shy. Theo and Mark grabbed some for themselves and ate quietly in the corner, their grey eyes lighting up as they tasted it. 

Shiro raised a brow at Hunter and Nickolas, " None for you guys?"

Hunter shook his head and Nickolas replied, " I'm allergic."

Katie chewed loudly and tried to answer with her mouth full, like how Matt used to do, " That sucks...Bro."

She heard Shiro and Hunk beside her trying to muffle their laughter. She narrowed her eyes at them telling them to shut up and they got the message.

The twins and Hunter looked at her weirdly.

" Are you-" Theo started and Mark ended, " Okay..?"

Katie replied, her cheeks burning, " Of course! Why wouldn't I be.."

One of the twins, she couldn't tell which, said, " You just seemed really sad over your broken glasses."

" They-" She choked out a sob and continued, " They were the only thing I had left of my brother after he disappeared."

Hunter's gaze softened and he quietly murmured, " ..Sorry."

She nodded at him and went back to chewing her cookie.

Suddenly there was a trumpet and every maid and butler ran around the castle in a rush.

Lance raised an eyebrow and walked over to the nearest butler. He came back to the kitchen with an expression Katie couldn't read.

" The Princess is here."
