"Stop staring at her like that," a sudden remark jolted Athena from her fixed gaze on the quietly weeping girl in the library. Glancing up, she met her brother Felix's gaze, and he offered a little smile as he settled down beside her.

"Why not?" Athena responded, turning her eyes towards him.

"No one appreciates being gawked at while they're crying," he shrugged.

"Then don't cry in public," she retorted, and then noticed Felix's inquisitive look as she absentmindedly picked up a pen to jot something down.

"Doing some homework?" Felix inquired, observing her movements with a hint of amusement.

"What homework Felix? it's barely the first week," she chuckled, but her mirth faded as she caught the unease in her brother's eyes. "What's wrong?"

"It's about Pamela," he sighed.

Athena arched an eyebrow. "What about her?"

"She's asking to stay at Saltburn."

"Then let her," she replied casually.

"Doesn't it bother you?" Felix asked.

"Why would it? She's only planning to stay a couple of months, and she's not causing any harm," Athena reasoned.

"I know she's not harming anyone, but—"

"Felix, you have guests over all the time, and nobody bats an eye. So why not treat her like one of my guests?" Athena proposed.

"I'm not objecting..."

"Nobody said you are. But she needs a place to lay low, and I believe she's being honest. Let her stay for a while, and I'll help her find a flat," Athena insisted.

"Do you believe her story?" Felix enquired, knowing his sister's penchant for trust and her candor.

"I do. I believe she genuinely has an ex-boyfriend who's causing trouble," Athena affirmed, her tone reflecting her confidence in her belief.
