This book will have a ton of events regarding towards women's rights, as well as when there was once complete inequality between men and women. Please be aware that this book will also contain language, crude humor, drinking, smoking, weapon use (gun, knife use etc.), violence, blood/gore, kissing/heated moments/sexual tension (no actual sex described because I do not write smut), mention of menstrual cycles, and character deaths.

This book is in NO way shape or form here to belittle women or women's rights. The setting for this book is dated back between the 1860s-1890s which is heavily known as the "Wild West" era, or the American Frontier. This period didn't exactly last very long (only 30 years), but during that time, it consisted mostly of cowboys, Indians, pioneers, outlaws and gunslingers all brought together by the purposes of expansion, defense, greed and reinvention. Crazy how the simple invention of barbed wire is what disrupted their entire way of living and overall was the end of what was known as the Wild West era.

After writing Forbidden Love (my first past timeline miraculous ladybug fanfic which is written based on the Victorian Era) I was actually inspired by one of my readers to write another past timeline story. (which btw you should go read the one-shot this story is based off of if you haven't yet. You can find it in my one-shot book titled "Miraculous Ladybug One-Shots" under the chapter title "Forbidden Fruits" to see how this story was born.) Considering quite a few of my readers seemed to find the history behind Forbidden Love's timeline rather interesting, I thought I would do the same for this story.

Interestingly, women actually had more rights in the western "Wild West" era if you compare it to the Victorian era timeline—which focuses more broadly on what is known as the "Women Suffrage timeline" (1840-1920.) In truth, western woman occupied much more varied roles which meant that they were not held down by strict social rules like their Victorian Era counterparts. A woman could still be a prostitute or bound to her husband as a slave if he was an abuser, but she could also be a gunslinger, bounty hunter, or even a business woman... because these opportunities were made available.

However, considering Marinette will be someone of importance regarding stature and money because of her name, her rights aren't exactly the same as other women in this story. Marinette will be a major character in this book who will strive to rebel against mainly her father's standards, and rise to become an equal amongst other women and men. This book will show—through Marinette's troubles and her brothers' as well—that despite what one looks like, ALL men and women are created equal and should be treated as such. My intentions for writing this book is solemnly to give the reader an inside look (through fictional characters) on what it was like for a woman some centuries ago. This book is not intended to offend anyone. If you are offended by any of the events in this book, I would like to apologize in advance. Be aware, however, that warnings are posted above. It was never my intention to offend anyone with this story.
