Nighttime,
Todoroki's room...

Todoroki's POV

I'm still sitting on my futon, hiding my face in my knees the whole time after running away in embarrassment. I raised up my head and stare at my phone in dilemma.

Should I go? Or just stay in the dorm? I'm screwed up if Aizawa-sensei catches me again like last time...

I mess my straight, dual coloured-hair, feeling a bit annoyed thinking of whether I should see Dabi or not.

"Ah, screw it!" I quickly stand up and rush to my closet, taking out a galaxy hoodie for me to wear.

I don't know why but I feel like I should see him. I just have to.

This hoodie is one of my favourite attire.

I hurriedly put it on and then wear a pair of casual blue ankle-high sneakers to match with my galaxy hoodie.

I walk to the door and spin the doorknob slowly, not wanting to cause any noise that can attract any unwanted attention. I pop out my head and observe the quiet hallway intently, making sure that no one is around to interrupt me.

A small smile plasters on my face, realizing that there is nobody at all, meaning I'm in safe zone to go out right now.

I quietly leave my room, jogging through the hallway carefully toward the stairs. I'm not going to use elevator or I'll get caught again. As soon as I reach the stairscase, I climb them down silently, determine to meet Dabi tonight.

.....

Nighttime,
At the park...

Todoroki's POV

I sigh in relief when I finally reach the park, relieve that I finally free from the worry of getting caught by the teachers.

Maybe I should become a spy instead of hero. I'm a pretty sneaky after all.

Meh, being hero is my long-life dream so no.

I walk to the swing and sit on it, waiting for Dabi to come. I look up the beautiful night sky, gazing deeply on the shining million stars that brighten up this dark night.

So beautiful... It really matches my hoodie.

I hear faint footsteps walking toward me so I look down. My eyes widen a bit when I see Dabi, smiling widely. "Yo, it had been a while, right?" Dabi greets me happily.

This time, I smile back at him. Unlike before, we always end up fighting so I never smile. But now, I feel comfortable with Dabi that I easily smile at him now. "Yo." I greet him back.

Dabi invites me to sit at the wooden bench and I nod, accepting his invitation. "So, what kind of surprise you have for me?" I ask him out of curiousity, eager to know about it.

Dabi chuckles at me, his glowing sapphire iris gazing into my dual-coloured orbs. "Close your eyes first, Princess." Dabi speaks up softly, gentle smile tugs on his stapled purple lips.

Why did... His smile seems so...?

I nod to Dabi and then shut my eyes tight. I hear Dabi taking out something from his pocket. Clicking sound fill in this silent atmosphere. Dabi puts on something on my neck, making me feel a bit ticklish since his fingers are brushing against my smooth skin.

"Now, open your eyes." Dabi orders, his voice sounds so eager and cheerful. I slowly open my eyes. They quickly go wide open when I see a beautiful , glimmering light blue heart-shaped crystal pendant swaying slightly around my neck when I move.

"You are...giving me this...?" I ask him in shock, jaws drop to the floor and my mouth wide open. I touch this expensive-look pendant in awe. I look up and stare at Dabi long, waiting for him to answer.

A grin forms on his face as he gets closer to me. He bows down slightly to match up with my height. "Of course it is. What else will suit you except for this pendant?" Dabi says sweetly, his hand then lifts my chins up to make sure my eyes meet his.

My heart pounds fastly when he gazes my face like that. A faint pink shades tints on my face. "Shoto?" Dabi calls me out since I just remain silent.

"Thank...you..." I mutter under my breath. I smile warmly at Dabi, feeling grateful with his gift. "It's so pretty. I'll treasure this gift forever, Dabi." I tell him sincerely.

"This pendant... It will brighten up when you are in pitch black darkness, you know. Trust me, it looks so amazing." Dabi tells me the specialty of this pendant, making my smile widens more.

I gasp in amazement when I hear it. "That's awesome!" I say half-scream at him excitedly.

Dabi looks surprised with my statement and his smile widens. "Hm, you like it that much, huh?" A smirk tugs on his lips all of sudden.

"Did I get something in return then? Give-and-Take is the principle of this world  you know." Dabi grins mischievously at me.

Give-and-Take, huh?

"Are you saying I have to give you a gift too?" I ask Dabi emotionlessly but internal, I'm very annoyed with his demand.

Dabi quickly nods. I stare at him in irritation. A sigh escapes my lips as my eyebrows frown together. "Sorry, sorry. I'm just--"

Dabi's POV

"Sorry, sorry. I'm just--" My sentence is cut off when I feel a warm sensation on my cheeks. My eyes dart to Shoto who is standing very close to my face, her soft lips still on my cheeks while her hands grip on my cloak to support her short stature.

"Sho...to...?" I can barely speak up after her lips apart from my burn cheeks. "What is it? You're the one who is asking for a return, don't you?" Shoto states frankly, not really mind with her doing.

W-What?! How can she be so calm?!

"I know I'm asking for it b-but... Why k-k-kiss?!" I stumble upon my words as my hand cup my left cheek that's marked by Shoto's lips.

Shoto places both of her index finger and thumb on her chins, thinking about something. "Well, I heard from the boys in my class that man like kiss from a girl so that's why. Besides, I can't think of any thing as a return for you in such short period. This is the only one I could think of." Shoto explains her intention. My eyes twitch in disbelief.

So that's her reason.

I let out a light sigh. "What's wrong? It's not enough?" Shoto asks me emotionlessly. "No, it's more than enough." I assure her, a smile of satisfaction crack on my lips. I stare at Shoto long.

You never change, don't you, Shoto? As clueless as ever.

Even when we were kids, you were always like this.

If only that incident didn't happen back then...

"Shoto..." I utter her name softly. "What?" She looks at me confusedly. I walk closer to her and lower my head to match up with her height.

"Thanks for the kiss." I whisper into her ear. Cold breeze blow up gently, causing her beautiful dual colour locks to sway gracefully, following the rhythm of the wind that seems to lighten up the mood more. I lift up my head and look into Shoto's gorgeous orbs.

I hope... We aren't seperate again...
