Dapplefur crawled out of the den, meeting her sister Leopardpool eating a mouse. Dapplefur greeted her as Leopardpool took another bite of her mouse. Dapplefur was expecting Sparrowcloud's kits soon, her belly swollen with unborn lives.

Sparrowcloud padded over and nuzzled Dapplefur, as she licked his cheek in return. Dapplefur turned to the nursery, as Sparrowcloud grabbed a vole and followed behind her.

Dappefur looked at her offsprings, Two small kits, Shiningkit for the sleek white Tom and Streamkit for gray she cat ,her tail wrapped around her kits. The kits crying out as they waddled to her stomach for milk.

Leopardpool padded in and nuzzled her sister and left. Sparrowcloud slip past her and sat near his mate. Dapplefur rested her head as Sparrowcloud left. She slept off half of the day.

Dapplefur woke up to see her father, Wavenose, "My daughter.. your sister..she shall have to pay the price!" He mewed as he disappeared, Dapplefur woke up. Leopardpool isn't still meeting that tom right?

Dapplefur let Songfeather watch her kits as she left the den. She crept and spotted her sister talking to Thornfeather, tails twisted together as they licked each other's cheek.

Dapplefur felt rage flow within her, She pounced out of a bush  "Leopardpool! Your still meeting him?!"Dapplefur spat. "Your gonna pay for it! Starclan said so!" Leopardpool jumped and turned to face her sister. "I don't know! You don't control me!" She hissed, through her teeth.

Thornfeather backed away. "Uhh.. I am going back.. bye!" He mewed, Turing around and headed off to his camp, but as he wondered off to Thunder path carelessly. A monster charged at him, his paws stuck as if he was stuck in mud.

Monster's black paws rolled and as it's gray shiny pelt headed to the tom, Dapplefur saw her path, clearly now. She was the price to pay.. Dapplefur gulped down a knot in her throat and darted to the tom.

She headbutted him They were both hit by monster. But Thornfeather  was hit in hind leg, his leg was bloody and blood seeped out. But Dapplefur had been right in the belly. Her fur stained by blood and blood trailed down her body.

" D-dapplefur? Wake up!..no..no!" Leopardpool's voice shook. Dapplefur's breathing was faint, life drained away each heartbeat. " T-told you.. A pr-rice time pay.." Dapplefur  choked out her words. Dapplefur let her head fall and as very last breath left her. Thornfeather limped to Leopardpool, as she pressed cobwebs on his leg.

They parted aways as Leopardpool dragged her sister's body. Her clanmates gasped as she let the body drop, Sparrowcloud ran over to his lifeless mate. "Noo!! Don't leave me! Please!" Sparrowcloud cried out. "Our kits haven't seen you yet!" Sparrowcloud collapsed, crying out.

Many cats gathered to mourn over  Dapplefur as her kits mewling. Songfeather took care of the kits,  her eyes glowing in sorrow, as she took care of Her best friend's kits.

Leopardpool whispered to herself, the price was paid... This my fault! I am sorry, Dapplefur!!Forgive me my sister..my kin..I promise to rise your kits!
