It was Monday Night RAW after Summerslam 2019. Billie Kay and Peyton Royce just suffered a loss against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross and things really didn't look too well for the IIconics. To be honest, Peyton's mind was focussing on something completely different. She was going through a rough breakup with her now ex-boyfriend, but it clearly didn't leave her cold or anything. No, it actually bothered her so much that she didn't even listen to Billie talking about the script for tonight.

Billie:" Peytoooon!"

Peyton:" Oww, stop yelling. What's the matter with you?"

Billie:" Me? You're the one who zoned out completely just now. I wanna talk about your match tonight, okay?"

Peyton:" And who am I facing?"

Billie:" Umm...Asuka."

Peyton:" Just great. As if the loss last night wasn't enough, they keep pushing us down."

Billie:" I know it sucks, but don't lose hope, okay? We can turn this thing around."

Peyton:" Can we now? Billie, we've been busting our butts all year and look where that got us now. We know we're talented, but creative seems to treat us as a joke."

Billie watched her friend ramble on about their bad treatment and how things could go different, if they were actually taken seriously, instead of whatever they were stuck in at the time. It really upset Peyton that things were going that badly, combined with her personal struggles.

RAW was live for about ninety minutes by now and just returned from a commercial break as the commentators talked about the upcoming match between Peyton and Asuka. They were trying to stay neutral as best as they could, but deep down inside they knew exactly how this one was going to end and what it would do to Peyton and Billie.
Once both women made their entrance, things started off easy with some chain wrestling.

Frustration was high in Peyton as she just wanted one chance. One chance to show everyone that she and Billie are serious competitors. But apparently that was too much to ask for. Fortunately for now, she had the upper hand as she got Asuka with a slimmed down version of a Punt Kick.

Peyton:" I will take you down this time!"

Sure, Peyton was known as a loudmouth in the ring, but she wanted to prove herself to everyone. She needed to. Otherwise she was going to be overlooked and ignored and that was something she didn't want to happen at all.

She kept up the beating with the Hammerlock Back Suplex and tried to go for the first pin attempt, but right after 1, Asuka kicked out. The asian woman was far from hurt enough to end this match and so she rolled away while Peyton grew more frustrated.

Peyton:" Are you joking me?!"

Truth be told, it wasn't her night. It really wasn't. Peyton didn't focus well enough as she slightly gritted her teeth before talking with Billie to come up with something, some kind of strategy to get through this match with a positive ending. The IIconics were sick and tired of being pushed around, overlooked and treated as a comedy act. They deserved better in the eyes of fans and friends, but no matter what they did to rile up a potential push, nothing happened. Peyton soon got back into the action, but got caught by a Roundhouse Kick from Asuka.

Kickout!

Not many people expected it, but Peyton actually kicked out after getting dropped like that. Even Asuka looked shocked as she argued with the referee while Billie got on the apron to counterargue. It was going back and forth for a good moment before Asuka hit her with the green mist to take her out for the rest of the match. Peyton was lurking in the corner, ready to strike as soon as Asuka turned around, but things went south once more when the aussie was caught in the Asuka Lock.

The hold was locked in tight as Asuka kept Peyton down. Fighting out of it in a futile attempt, there was nothing else left for Peyton, but to actually tap out which meant another victory for the Kabuki Warriors and another loss for the IIconics.
---------------------------------------------------------

Shortly after getting backstage, Billie and Peyton were approached by Kayla Braxton who wanted an interview after the defeat.

Kayla:" Billie, Peyton, a few moments ago, Asuka got the win over you after you failed to get the Womens Tag Team championship...Tell us: what's next for the IIconics?"

Billie:" Kayla, now is a really bad time to talk, okay? So why don't you frick off and bother someone else?"

Kayla:" But something has to be up. Is something working against you or did you lose your spark?"

And that was Peyton's breaking point as she took the mic from Kayla and spoke directly to the camera.

Peyton:" What do you think? Huh? Did Billie Kay and Peyton Royce lose their spark? For months we've been training to get better, but no! Nothing! We lost last night, I lost just now. I've had it with that! I've seen people call our matches 'Bathroom Breaks', because we're 'so boring' to watch! Let me tell you: I won't let this go! I will not let me and my best friend be ridiculed and if you think we're not worth it, you can take your remote and shove it up your backside!"

Peyton walked off after that, leaving a shocked Billie and Kayla in the spot. This promo wasn't in the script at all and they might get in trouble sooner or later, but Peyton had to let go. She had enough of everyone saying they lost their edge or they weren't good enough and it hurt. It hurt her deeply.
---------------------------------------------------------

Around the two hour mark, RAW had another exciting match coming. Curtis Axel was in the ring at the time, waiting for his opponent. Not a lot of people seemed familiar with the man who was about to appear until his theme hit.

The arena was drenched in red light as the man in question stepped out, being in a black outfit and his hair messy. He didn't look like a typical 'local talent' or something. Instead, seriousness emitted from him as he finally walked to the ring.

Things took a big turn in terms of atmosphere when the man now announced as Y/N L/N walked around the ring, not only taking his eyes off of Curtis who wasn't sure what to think. He faced quite a few people, but someone like Y/N was new to him. Just when Y/N took off his coat and entered the ring were both men getting ready. Curtis himself wasn't a slouch, but he paled in comparison to his opponent as Y/N just chuckled. The bell was rung and the match started with Curtis wanting to lock up, but Y/N wasn't having any of it. He just stood there, looking at him unimpressed.

Curtis:" Do something!"

Well, ask and you shall receive was ringing true now as Y/N delivered a Superkick to Curtis.

It was a lesson in life that you shouldn't mess with someone who's out of your league and unfortunately Curtis had to be reminded about that the violent way. Y/N stared down at him for a moment before picking him back up and pushing him into one of the corners.

Y/N:" You don't want me as an enemy, young man. I know things even the devil won't talk about."

Curtis:" What-"

Curtis was interrupted by a chop to the chest before the ref had to separate the two. Not a lot happened yet, but everyone started to see a bit of the man Y/N was. He spoke with a silver tongue so to say and warned people about the danger of making him an enemy. It was only a matter of time until he would unleash his full force, but this time around Curtis could stop the assault for a bit.

As much as he wanted to beat Y/N, Curtis waited for the right moment to attack again, but he was reversed into a Backbreaker.

Good things come to those who wait? Not in this case. Misfortune seemed to have struck Curtis that night as he was down on the canvas once more. There was nothing pretty about this match, but the crowd seemed interested to see it nonetheless. Maybe it was because of the moves or solely because of Y/N being the new guy on the show, but their interest was definitly there. Keeping it simple and taking things to the next level nonetheless, Y/N hit Curtis with a Falcon Arrow in the center of the ring.

He didn't go for a pin or anything right after, no. There's was a little more for Y/N to do there before he could finish this. The commentators didn't really know what to say to this display as Y/N ran a hand through his hair. Being methodical was one thing, being sadistic was another as Y/N listened to the fans reacting to everything he did this far. Now...was he a heel or a face? That was difficult to distinguish on his first night, so nobody could really make up their mind at the moment. It was fine though, Y/N just carried on by putting Curtis down again.

No pin there either. Something must've been going on in Y/N's head as he got back up and paced around the ring, looking like he was in a conflict with himself. His gimmick had no description just yet, but people had their own thoughts about it, watching him torture his opponent with every single move until it clicked with the bigger man. Now he knew how to end this as he grabbed Curtis one more time and threw him to the ropes to hit a Rolling Elbow.

3!

And that was the first victory for Y/N on the main roster. He was unlike anybody else they have seen in recent years, so fans probably looked forward to what he had in mind as he posed on the ramp.
