Later that evening the group is on the boardwalk. As Lucy searches for a job the two boys notice an outdoor concert and taking their sister's hands they head over to it to give the music a listen.

Meanwhile, Lucy finds a little lost boy who is crying and she immediately becomes concerned. The owner of the video store watches Lucy with extreme interest and he can't help but smile. As he watches her interact with the child.

Unfortunately, it disappears as quickly as it had appeared as the group of boys who had been disruptive on the boardwalk a few days earlier enter the shop and look around.

He watches them for a moment but is interrupted when Lucy walks into the store holding both her daughter's hand and the small boy's hand in the other.

"Let's ask in here. Excuse me sir, this boy is lost and we were wondering if his mother might be in here?"

"I really don't know."

A second later a woman rushes into the store. "Terry. There you are. I was so worried. Don't walk away." The owner hands the boy a small green lollipop.

"Thanks." With that the lady leads the boy out of the store.

As she does the young men begin flirting with the cashier. "We only come in here to watch one thing." One of the boys says to the cashier who rolls her eyes at his attempt to flirt with her.

"And here you go." The owner says holding out a red lollipop to Lucy.

"No thanks."

The store owner spots the group of boys heading to exit the store and frowns at them. "I told you not to come in here anymore." He says sternly.

The boys smile the leader of the gang smirking  at him as they exit the store without saying a single word. One of them smirks at him giving him an ok 👌 symbol with his hands as he exits.
"Wild kids." Max says with a frown.

"Oh they are just young. We were that age too once. Only they dress better. Bye bye." Lucy says with a smile as she puts the lollipop in her mouth. "My name is Max."

"I'm Lucy."

"This is my dog Thorn. Say hi Thorn." Max says to a white German Shepherd.

"Hi Thorn." Lucy states with smiles.

"So how can I help you this evening? We have the best set of video tapes this side of Santa Carla."

"No, actually I'm not looking for a video tape. What I need is Umm."

"A job?"

"A job." Lucy nods. "I look that needy huh?"

Meanwhile, Michael, Sam, Stacy and Catherine are continuing to follow the strange girl. "Where are we going?" Sam groans.

"Nowhere."

"Then what's the hurry? You are following that girl aren't you? Just admit it. We are at the mercy of your sex glands."

Catherine looks over at Stacy confusion written across her face hoping that her big sister might have an explanation concerning Sam's comment. She shrugs her shoulders. "What are sex glands?" Stacy asks but the boys ignore her question.

"Don't you have something better to do then to follow me around all night?" Michael replies semi-irritatedly.

Spotting a comic book shop Sam eyes light up as he replies "actually yeah. Yeah I do." With that, he enters the shop. Stacy and Catherine follow behind him.

He notices some of the boys in the shop are watching him. "Can I help you guys?"

"No. We're just scoping your civilian wardrobe."

"Pretty cool huh?"

"Yeah. For a fashion victim. If your looking for the fat free frozen yogurt stand it went out of business a year ago."

"Actually I'm looking for Batman issue #14."

"Batman #14. That's pretty heavy stuff. Only five ever made."

Catherine and Stacy roll their eyes for guys who work at a comic shop they don't seem to know diddly squat about them.

"Four actually. I'm always looking out for the other three. You can't put Superman #77 with the 200's they haven't even discovered red kyrptonite yet. And you can't put a #98 with the 300's Lori Lamaris hasn't even been introduced yet."

"Where the hell are you from? Krypton?"

"Might as we'll be." Stacy grumbles and Sam frowns slightly but chooses to ignore her comment for the moment.

"Phoenix actually. But lucky me..." Sam pauses and then waves his hand "we moved here."

"Take this." One of the boys states pushing a comic into Sam's hands. On the cover it reads Vampires are everywhere.

Sam looks down at it "I don't like horror comics."

"Keep it. It might just save your life." The boy replies.

"Sis, look." Catherine says pointing to some teens who were grabbing a bunch of comics.

Stacy tugs on one of the Frog brother's coats. "What?" She points in the direction of the teens.

"Hay! Come back with our comics!" They shout rushing after the thieves without so much as a thank you. Sam once again looks down at the comic they had placed in his hands. Vampires are everywhere. The cover states.

Not too far away Michael has managed to locate the strange girl and her young companion as they head towards a group of rowdy looking young men. He watches as she gets onto a moterbike behind a young guy in a leather jacket and strikingly blond hair.

The guy smirks at him as Michael continues to look at her. "Come on. She stiffed you." Sam states as Michael watches the mysterious girl ride away with the group.

"Mom?" Stacy and Catherine say simultaneously as they get back into the car to go home.

"Yes girls?"

"What are sex glands?" Lucy asks and Sam's eyes go wide. Michael smirks as he knows his brother is gonna be in trouble when they get home.

Lucy coughs and is silent momentarily before answering "where did you hear that from?"

"Sam said earlier that we were at the mercy of Mickey's sex glands because he was chasing after a pretty girl." The girls reply.

"That is something the two of you are far too young for." Then glancing at Sam she frowns "you and I are going to have a long talk when we get home."

"Thanks a lot." Sam mutters as he frowns at his sisters.

"What did we do?" Catherine asks Stacy who shrugs her shoulders.

The next day Grandpa shows Sam, Stacy and Catherine his car. "Come on get in."

"Can I drive it on the way back?" Sam asks as he stares at the car in aw.

"Sammy you can't drive your too young." Stacy replies.

"Yeah. Mom would have a heart attack if she knew Grandpa let you drive even for a single moment." Catherine replies.

"Don't worry girls, to answer your question boy, fat chance nobody drives this car but me." This causes Catherine and Stacy to giggle and Sam to frown. As Grandpa places the key in the ignition.

The car starts up and begins to sound as if it's purring. "You got to let her warm up a bit. Do you hear that Sam? This girl purrs like a baby pussycat. Ok. Let's go to town. Are we having fun yet? Or what?" He asks Sam Catherine and Stacy who all look completely confused as he turns off the car.

"I thought we were going to town?"

"That's as close to town that I like to get." Grandpa replies getting out of the car.

"Ok weird old man."

Sam decided to walk to the comic store. "So you notice anything unusual about Santa Carla yet?"

"No it's a pretty cool place. If your martian."

"Or a vampire."

"Have you guys been sniffing old newsprint or something?"

"You think you know what's going on around here? Well let me tell you something, you don't know s*i* Buddy."

"You think we just run a comic stand for our parents?"

"Actually I thought it was a bakery." Sam replies sarcastically.

"That's just our cover. We have a higher purpose. We're fighting for truth, justice and the American way."

"Ok."

"Here. Read this." One of the boys replies handing him a comic that read destroy all vampires.

"I told you, I don't like horror comics."

"Think of it as a survival guide. It has our number on the back. And pray you'll never need to call us."

"Yeah. I'll pray that I will never need to call you."

Meanwhile, Michael is anxious to once again search of his strange mystery girl. "Hay Stacy, Catherine do you want to go with me to the boardwalk"?

The girls look at each other and then same simultaneously "yes!"

"Alright. Go get your coats."

Stacy hid her stuffed Fox who she had named Todd inside her coat. Catherine also hid her musical teddy bear Snowball in her jacket.

Upon arriving at the boardwalk He pays for the admission and then gets tickets for Stacy and Catherine to ride the rides and gives them some coins to play the arcade games.

Catherine immediately runs over to a claw machine and points to a toy excitedly. "Mousy can you win me that?" Michael sighs as he hears several teenage guys nearby snicker at his sister's nickname for him.

"Maybe later." As Catherine pouts he turns his attention to Stacy. "So what do you want to ride first?" Stacy points to the really large rollercoaster and Michael can't help but smirk. "Figures. Your sure you don't want to ride some of the other ones first?"

"No." Stacy replied with a slight frown.

"Alright go have fun. I'll be nearby looking at the stalls and stuff. Try not to wander off. Stacy you'd in charge while I'm window shopping."

"But there are no windows around here." Catherine replies in confusion glancing around the pier. Michael can't help but chuckle.

"Oh and if anyone gives you a hard time just tell them that if they mess with you they mess with your big brother. Nobody messes with my little sisters without consequences." Michael says ruffling their hair before clenching his fist tightly at the idea that someone might try and hurt them.

Catherine and Stacy glance at each other and smile. "Ok. Bye." The girls say running off towards the rollercoaster ride.

"Ding ding. Ding ding you have to pay the ride tole. Empty out your pockets." Some surf Natzi's state blocking their way to the rollercoaster ride.

"Go jump off the pier." Stacy replies as she tries to move past them. However, the guys shoves them causing them to fall backwards. The guys laugh until they hear a low growl and two very strong very dangerous looking guys step forward.

"Are you alright little ones?" The guys asks kneeling down to their level and offering their hands to help them up.

Catherine and Stacy look at him warily but then then nod. "You should watch where your going." The one guy scolds.

The guys who had shoved them roll their eyes "who do you think you are to lecture us?"

"Let's just say I'm someone you don't want to mess with." The guy replies lowering his shades enough for the guy to see his eyes.

"Sorry Shane, Ares. We didn't know these two were with you." The surf Natzi stutters and backs off. The two strange young men smirk.

Meanwhile, Catherine and Stacy quickly return to their place in line and soon it's time for them to "I thought we settled this earlier the two of you don't meet the hight requirements for this ride.

"Hey we want to ride the coaster. What's the holdup?" Upon spotting Catherine and Stacy the others in ride groan.

"Oh come on kids, just get out of the way and let those who are old enough and tell enough to ride enjoy the coaster."

"Yeah. I think that's more your speed." One guy states pointing to a toddler rollercoaster.

"Didn't your parents ever teach you that if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all?" The young teenager from earlier who has blond blond haired states.

"Now what seems to be the problem?"

"As I tried explaining to these two girls earlier, unfortunately, they don't reach the hight requirement for this rollercoaster. They don't have any adults with them and they keep holding up the line."

"They can ride with us. Shall we?" Shane asks waving his hand towards the ride.

Catherine looks over at Stacy not sure how she should feel concerning these guys who swooped in and saved the day. Something about them just seemed off. Stacy smiled and coached the hesitant Catherine to get on the ride.

Michael stops and watches a girl getting her ear pierced. Then his mystery girl whispers in his ear "it's a rip off." She then turns and walks away and he follows her. "If you want your ear pierced I can do it."

"What's your name?"

"Star."

"Oh you too huh?"

"What do you mean?"

"Your parents. Ex hippies. I came this close to being called moon beam or moon child or something like that. Star. I like Star. My name is Michael."

"Michael. Michael's good. I like Michael."

"Do you want to get something to eat?"

"Sure."

Unbeknownst to Michael he and Star are being watched by Star's friends. David smokes a cigarette as he watches Star and he signals to the boys. Soon Michael and Star are surrounded by the gang. "Star." David calls to her. At first she ignores him.

"Where you going Star?" David asks.

"For a ride. This is Michael." Star replies getting ready to get onto Michael's bike.

"Star." David states once more. Star glances over at Michael before going over to David's bike and getting on the back of it. "You know where Hudson's bluff is over by the point?"

"I can't beat your bike." Michael replies.

"You don't have to beat my bike Michael." David replies. "You just have to try and keep up." With that the group takes off.

"Yeah whoo!" One of the group calls as they speed off down the boardwalk and down the stairs. Michael looks hesitantly but then choses to follow them. Star keeps looking back every once in a while to check and see if Michael is still with the group.
