끝없이 달리네 꿈을 향해

"So, will you accept our offer, now?"

You could hear the sarcasm filled in every word Yoongi spoke. The Authority looked at him, his eyes the size of saucers.

"W-what?"

Yoongi took a few steps toward the Authority making the latter take steps back, but Jimin came up behind him and held his arms in a tight grip, thanking that the Authority's wings were folded.

"You can't escape, God."

Once again, the word was said with so much spite that it felt like an insult.

The Authority's eyes narrowed as he scowled.

"What did you just do?"

Yoongi shrugged.

"Sent her to be reincarnated."

"Y-you mean... passing on? We can pass on?"

The man looked so shocked, like he'd never heard of this in his life. Yoongi just rolled his eyes.

"How else do you think your damn mother disappeared, too? Did being an Authority for more than three thousand years get to your head? You don't even remember the time before you got to become one?"

Slowly, the man shook his head. He couldn't believe that any of this was happening, how did Yoongi even know? Then, he got angry.

Before he could do anything, Yoongi unclasped one small opening on the lid of the container Jimin was holding. Not moving, the man just watched as Yoongi walked into the doors- into where the rest of the Authorities were.

They couldn't get rid of the main one this soon- not until he saw it all.

"Hello everyone! We have a gift for you all on behalf of our dear Sire agreeing to our offers–"

Yoongi shot him a sarcastic smile. The main Authority couldn't do anything other than watch Yoongi, the small opening in the container holding him back like tightly knotted ropes around him.

"Wow, I didn't know this was like a dining hall? What a surprise. I could serve you all this amazing substance- I heard it makes you look younger than you are."

Yoongi was feigning innocence, of course. Jimin almost let out a small giggle at Yoongi's terrible acting. But, the ones present couldn't detect sarcasm, their lack of proper connection with modernity becoming their fall.

Hearing pleased responses, Yoongi grinned.

"Who wants it first–?"

"Okay, stop. I'll rewrite it. I promise- don't do this."

Yoongi scoffed, walking over to one end of the dining table. He put a hand on the edge of the table. Then, he eyed the Authority with a glare.

"No you won't– not to everyone's wishes anyway."

Then he swung himself up, now standing on the table erupting gasps from the Authorities who were seated.

Just rolling his eyes, Yoongi unclicked something on the lid and held the container by the handle and lazily sprinkled the dust over the Authorities, majestically walking down the large table.

The moment he reached the last Authority, he jumped off, careful to not get any of the dust on himself.

The room burst with chatter, loud cries, and even surprises until it all faded- faded into silence.

"You know, God–"

Yoongi started, making his walk over to the Authority, stepping foot into the balcony again.

"I think it's you who needs to check the books."

Jimin let go of the Authority and immediately shut the lid of the container before dropping it to the ground.

The Authority didn't move- they didn't expect him to. All the speculation they'd done in earth, they knew almost exactly what their next moves would be.

When the Authority looked up to lock eyes with Yoongi in a stare, he saw Yoongi grin knowingly.

"Page number one is missing from the book, right?"

"How... how did you know?"

"It seems Earth harboured many escaped works of Afterlife. I have the page right here- I want you to read it."

Yoongi fished his pockets and his face dropped in frustration of not finding it. Jimin rolled his eyes and took a few steps towards his lover, dipping his hands on the breast pocket before taking out a piece of paper. A very old piece of paper.

Yoongi patted Jimin's cheek softly, smiling at him.

"Thanks, babe."

Jimin snorted but smiled back.

Yoongi unfolded the paper and held it out for the Authority to see-

"Rule number one."

Yoongi muttered, letting the Authority speak the rest.

"Change is the only forever."
