Namjoon's POV:-

She leaned closer as her eyes dilated. Her expressions froze slightly as her gaze fell on me. She frowned scrunching her nose as it made me giggle.

"What are you doing here?" She asked creasing her brows.

I held her arms and yanked her close to me.

"Jane, are you drunk?" I looked into her eyes discovering that she isn't much in her senses. I caressed her face brushing off the strands annoying her and pulled her closer.

"I was always in love with Runch Randa, why are you confusing me?" She said as I pressed my lips into a thin line trying my best to hide the smile.

"You're in love with him?" I asked as she nodded closing her eyes and grinned.

"You're drunk, let's go home," I said and tried to drag her out of the bar but she resisted. I stood close to her as she tiptoed to reach my face and cupped my cheeks.

"I've convinced myself that you aren't someone I know but this nose and your eyes, they make me compare you to Runch. I've never even seen him from a closer distance but, I feel you are similar to my crush," she said as her small fingers trailed my nose and caressed my cheeks.

I would never find anyone who'd choose Runch over me.

I couldn't control myself from pulling her closer as she gasped. I wanted to kiss her soft lips that I was craving.

"What if I say I'm better than Runch for you?" I said as she gave a small smile and said, "You might be but I admired him since I was a teenager. I hope I meet him at the reunion at Maroon's."

She started to walk as I followed her puzzled. Maroon Club does have a reunion and I'm invited too, I planned things and I knew what to do next.

She was busy humming my song called "Moonchild" which made me famous back then. "Is there anyone alive who still listens to that song?" I thought as she spun around which made me chuckle.

I informed Troye about taking Jane home and asked him to check on his mom as well. He told me how Jane handled Min-Ji's tantrums and still got Min-Ji to like her.

This girl is someone I never thought I'll ever find.

"I'm drunk Namjoon, I won't go home to meet your father," she said as I forced her to come home.

"We'll meet him tomorrow," I assured her as she agreed. I picked her in my arms to take her to the car.
She smiled putting her arms around my neck and said, "You are so complicated."

In a low voice, she lowered her eyes and said, "You kiss me, you make me feel loved and all of a sudden, I get to know you have plans for getting married. I left but you still came back and helped me with mom's treatment. Why do you care so much?"

I smiled as she was beaming like a kid with her lips parted slightly as she was still in my arms.

"Thank you but now, we'll be parting ways. Min-Ji likes Zee, your problem is solved. Mom is recovering soon and that's all because of you," she said as I felt my heart sink.

"Do you think I'll let you leave?" I said as her eyes widened.

We reached the car as I put her down and opened the door for her. The minute she turned, I couldn't resist but pull her back and made her stand facing me.

I didn't move but stared into her eyes for a while. That feeling was undeniable, it felt like our souls had finally found a mate, a home for each other. I loved her more than anything in my life, it felt like my wounds were recovering after meeting her.

I knew I have to tell her about my reality very soon. She needs to know that I am Runch who she is madly in love with. I can't let her go nor can I stay without her.

I slowly bent and kissed her temple as she lowered her lashes.

"You don't remember what happens when you're drunk but I will remember this," she said in almost a whisper as I encircled her waist. My face was just a few inches away from her.

I kissed her cheek and said, "I want you to remember everything. I want you to know that you are important to me."

She gulped as she maintained some distance placing her hand on my chest and asked me to drive her home.

I made her sit on the passenger seat, sat next to her and drove off.

She kept her gaze fixed outside the window. I didn't bother her much but silently drove.

A few minutes later, she rested her hand on mine as I was changing the gear. Our gazes collided as she looked at me with a smile on her face.

"Can I ask you something?" She asked as for right now, if she'd ask me for my life, I'll happily give her. I nodded as she lowered her lashes.

"I know you don't talk to your father much but can you just forget the past and give it a chance?" She asked as my heart started to fill with rage.

He didn't call once when my mom wasn't well. He didn't care for her much and that was the only reason she passed away and after her death, he drank and had fun with girls half his age. I can never forget all that.

"I don't want to talk about it," I said in a cold tone and jerked her handoff.

The car instantly felt quiet.

"Stop the car, right now," Jane yelled.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked as she kept on ordering me to pull over.

I was left with no options but stopping the car. She quickly got out of the car as I followed her. I stood in front of her as she stared at me fondly.

She clutched my coat and buried her face in my chest hugging me as I felt her warmth. I was clueless, she tiptoed to wrap her arms around my neck. I supported her by holding her waist and let her do whatever she wanted.

She hugged me tight as I stood still.

"Family is something which not everyone is blessed with. I don't even know what feeling loved means," she said as her voice cracked.

"I know what happened with your mom but none of it was your father's fault. She didn't want to pull you back from your career and that's the reason she asked your father to not tell you about her health," she said as I felt something had ruthlessly clutched my heart as my fingertips suddenly trembled.

Anxiety and panic climbed through me, my mouth gaped open but I couldn't speak. The corner of my eyes filled with tears as she tightened her clasp around me.

"Namjoon, you need to let it go. You need to dissolve the hate in you to keep going in life and stay happy," she said in a low voice as tears rolled down my cheeks.

"Your father is a good man. He loves you and he loved your mom as well but he was helpless. Can you just forget and move on?" She asked as she is the first person to talk about the worst moment of my life so openly and making me understand.

"Don't try to interfere much," I said in a cold tone yanking her away from me. I can't discuss my mother to an extent that I have tears welled up in my eyes.

I held her wrist and dragged her to go the car and drove home.

Silence suffused the car as she kept staring at me. She was drunk, her dainty face had a drunken red tint.

"You're back to the angry, bossy idiot that I thought vanished a little earlier but it didn't," she whined as I couldn't help but try to calm myself down.

"Namjoon, look at me," she requested as I gulped trying to hide the pain in my eyes. She caressed my cheek and apologised.

A minute later, I could feel her eyes closing as she leaned on the seat.

"Jane," I called out but she had blacked out.
