DELILAH ASAN'S LIFE WAS SIMPLY GOING DOWNHILL since her recent graduation. She was constantly fighting with her parents, had no idea what she wanted to be outside of school, and to make matters worse she caught her boyfriend cheating on her with her best friend. To say her life was seriously starting to suck is a huge understatement.

Towards the end of the summer, she went to her favorite Chinese restaurant and ordered some food. The meal came with a fortune cookie and no, she didn't believe in those kinds of things but, the girl needed something to cheer her up. As she opened it, the words "Sometimes traveling to a new place leads to great transformation."

She stared at the fortune wondering whether or not to open her other fortune but eventually, she gave in and cracked it open. The words read, "Your eyes will soon be opened to a world full of charm, beauty, and adventure." The Asan girl scoffed and put the two fortunes in her pocket but she kept thinking about it throughout her night.

After eating, she went home and packed her bags. She didn't know why she was doing it, she just did. Delilah left in her old Volkswagen beetle and drove for hours. However, after awhile, things started to get bumpy and her car started breaking down. That's what landed her in the quaint little town of Mystic Falls.

She managed to get her car towed to an auto shop and while the Asan girl waited for her it to be fixed she entered the Mystic Grill. That's when she met him, that's when her life changed forever.

All because of a stupid fortune cookie.
