JP (Fusion) POV

[I don't remember what happened last night but I decide not to worry about it. Chazz has left and no one can find him. Honestly I don't care. He was getting on my nerves. The talk of academy is the upcoming School Duel. It's a duel where one representative from Duel Academy will face off against someone from our rival, North Academy. The words was going around that they were using a first year, so the chancellor wants to use a first year as well. Who was it going to be? Everyone expects it to be me since Zane is gone and also wasn't a first year. I don't mind representing my school but after what happened last night I'm afraid to duel again. I didn't cause that to happen. Can that happen again against my will? I can't focus on it right now since Celina and Alexis are coming my way]

3rd Person POV

[JP sits at the lunch table in the mess hall. He looks very tired. Both Celina and Alexis look very concerned]

Celina: You okay, JP? You look terrible.

JP: I'll live.

Alexis: You should go to the infirmary. I'll take you.

Celina: Stop underestimating him. He's strong.

JP: I'll be fine, Alexis. Thank you.

Celina: How about a duel, JP? That would make you feel better.

[JP still hasn't told anyone about what happened the night before]

JP: I don't know, Celina. I'm just not in mood.

Celina: Maybe you should go to the infirmary. You turning down a duel isn't usual.

JP: I'll be fine, Celina. Thank you.

[Just then Bastion walks over to JP]

Bastion: Hey, JP.

JP: Can I help you?

Bastion: Everyone believes that you will represent the school in the School Duel.

JP: That's right.

Bastion: Well, I think I would be a better fit.

JP: You challenging me to a duel, Bastion?

Bastion: That's exactly what I'm doing.

[Everyone starts talking loudly in the mess hall]

Celina: JP could beat you easily.

Bastion: I've been studying his deck and I believe I have the formula to beat him.

JP: I seriously doubt it.

Bastion: Well, let's see if your bite as bad as your bark.

[A student walks over to JP]

Student: The chancellor wants to see you, JP.

JP: Catch you, girls, later.

[JP leaves and goes to the chancellor's office]

JP: You rang?

Chancellor: I heard that you got challenged by Bastion.

JP: I did. You want me to duel him?

Chancellor: I do but I also want you to humiliate him. Show everyone why you're the top student.

[JP stands silent]

Chancellor: I see great potential in you, JP. You could be a leader. Like a general in an army. Now I want you to go and beat Bastion.

JP: As you wish, chancellor.

[JP walks down to the duel arena where everyone is waiting for the duel to take place. Bastion already stands on the opposite side]

Bastion: Let's make a bet, JP. I win and I get to go on a date with one of your friends.

JP: That's not happening. I win and you get demoted to Slifer Red. That's if I'm feeling generous. I rather have you expelled.

[JP's eyes begin to glow as he activates his duel disk]

JP: Get set to get your game on!

[JP was in a rage. No one threatens Celina in front of him]

JP: (Whispers) Those who I dueled with last night, please come to my aid.

[JP's eyes began to glow. Bastion had prepared for JP's Cyber Dragon Deck. He wasn't prepared for the brand new Fusion Deck that was given to him by his counterparts]

Turn 1-JP

JP: You'll regret challenging me, Bastion! I'll start! My turn! I place Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon in Pendulum Zone. I place two cards face down. Turn end. Now the special ability of my Odd Eyes in my Pendulum Zone activates. I can add Timegazer Magician to my hand.

Turn 2-Bastion

JP-8000 LP/Bastion-8000 LP

Bastion: I don't know what you're planning but that won't stop me! My turn. I draw. From my hand I activate a spell: Fossil Dig! This allows me to add a Level 6 or below Dinosaur monster to my hand. I summon Vorse Raider in ATK Mode!

Vorse Raider: Level 4- 1900 ATK/ 1200 DEF

Bastion: Now my monster will attack you directly!

JP: Trap card, open: Mirror Force! Now your monster is destroyed.

Bastion: Hmph. I place one card face down and end my turn.

Turn 3-JP

JP-8000 LP/Bastion

JP: My turn. Draw. I use Scale 1 Stargazer Magician and Scale 8 Timegazer Magician to set the Pendulum Scale! I'm taking control of this duel starting now!

Stargazer Magician: Scale 1: Level 5- 1200 ATK/ 2400 DEF

Timegazer Magician: Scale 8: Level 3- 1200 ATK/ 600 DEF

Bastion: What is going on? I wasn't prepared for this!

Celina: You can Pendulum Summon too, JP?

JP: I can now summon monsters between the levels 2 through 7 all at the same time! Swing far, Pendulum! Carve the Arc of Victory! My monsters are ready to swing into action! Turn up the heat, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Also joining are Dragonpulse Magician and Nobledragon Magician!

Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon: Scale 4: Level 7- 2500 ATK/ 2000 DEF

Dragonpulse Magician: Scale 1: Level 4- 1800 ATK/ 900 DEF

Nobledragon Magician: Scale 5: Level 3- 700 ATK/ 1400 DEF

Bastion: Three monsters at once?

JP: Battle. When I have these two monsters in my Pendulum Zone, you can't activate any spell or trap cards!

Bastion: What! I won't let you! I activate my trap card: Threatening Roar! Now you can't attack this turn!

JP: Hmph. You got lucky. Turn end.

Turn 4-Bastion

JP-8000 LP/Bastion-8000 LP

Bastion: You don't scare me. My turn. I draw. I summon Oxygeddon in ATK Mode!

Oxygeddon: Level 4- 1800 ATK/ 800 DEF

Bastion: Now my monster will destroy your Nobledragon Magician!

JP: Hmph.

JP-8000 LP - - - 6900 LP

Bastion: I end my turn.

Turn 6-JP

JP-6900 LP/Bastion-8000 LP

JP: My turn. Draw. I use the Pendulum Scale I've already set. Pendulum Summon! Come forth, Timegazer Magician! Welcome back, Nobledragon Magician!

Bastion: Shouldn't have your Nobledragon Magician gone to the Graveyard.

JP: Pendulum Monsters don't go to the Graveyard. They go to the Extra Deck. Battle. Odd Eyes, destroy his monster with Spiral Flame Strike! When my dragon causes battle damage it doubles! Reaction force!

Bastion: Ahh!

Bastion-8000 LP - - - 6600 LP

JP: Now the rest of my monsters, attack Bastion directly!

Bastion: At the same time?

JP: I don't choose favorites.

Bastion: Ahh!

Bastion-6600 LP - - - 2900 LP

JP: Turn end.

Turn 6-Bastion

JP-6900 LP/Bastion-2900 LP

Bastion: You won't stop me even with your new tricks! My turn. I draw. I place a monster face down in DEF Mode and another card face down and end my turn.

Turn 7-JP

JP-6900 LP/Bastion-2900 LP

JP: That face down won't help me thanks to my pendulum monsters. My turn. Draw. I summon another Dragonpulse Magician!

[Another Dragonpulse Magician appears]

JP: This is the end. Battle. Odd Eyes, destroy his monster! Spiral Flame Strike!

Bastion: This is going to hurt.

JP: Now the rest of my monsters, attack him directly!

Bastion: I can't defend myself. Ahh!

[Bastion passes out from the monster attacks. JP's eyes stop glowing. Celina runs over to JP and hugs him]

Chancellor: JP will be representing Duel Academy in the School Duel. Congratulations.

[After JP stops hugging Celina, he looks at his extra deck and saw new fusion monsters that he didn't have before]

JP: Where did these come from? What do they mean?
