JP (Syncro) POV

[I wake up in Carly's apartment. I just beat Trudge who was under the influence of a Dark Signer. I left. She wasn't very happy about it]

Carly: Do you really have to go?

JP: I do. I'm sorry.

Carly: How am I going to get another big story?

JP: Tell you what...will you be my personal journalist?

Carly: (Blushes) Really?

JP: Yeah. I should be thanking you for the fansite. Condiser this as a favor I owe you.

[Carly stares at me with hearts in her eyes. I turn to leave but Carly stops me]

Carly: Um...JP?

JP: Yeah?

Carly: I know you're dating Akiza but will you please go on one date with me?

[Carly closes her eyes expecting to get rejected]

JP: Sure. Why not?

[Carly hugs me. I pull away. I'm is about to leave one more time when I turn around and quickly kiss Carly. Carly faints. I leave. The Dark Signer I dueled talked about them taking down the Satelite. I can't let that happen. Rin and Yugo are back there. I have to find them. I head back to the Satelite and find them. They run out to meet me]

Yugo: JP! It's been forever.

JP: I know.

[Rin looks at me and just smiles]

JP: Rin?

[In one swift motion she smashes her lips on mine. It felt amazing. I've loved Rin for a very long time and this made the wait worth it. Time though was of the essence. I explained everything except the existence of another person living inside me]

Yugo: That's crazy! Can we see the mark?

[I show them my mark and they are amazed]

Rin: That's amazing but that means you have a target on your back.

JP: That's why I can't stay here. I have to protect everyone.

Rin: You don't have to leave! I won't let you leave! I love you!

[Rin kissed me again. I noticed that Yugo just smiled in approval]

Yugo: Finally! She's been practicing that since you've left!

[Rin smacks him for ruining the moment. I tell them I have to leave. Rin allows it. While I'm out I meet my old friend Crow Hogan. I explain everything to him]

Crow: That's crazy man!

[That very same night, he and I joined in a tag duel against Sector Security. We won obviously. I left again but Crow wasn't having it. I'm about to ride away when my chest started burning]

JP (Original) POV

[I forced my way out of JP's (Syncro) chest. I was putting him in danger. I leave his body and become a separate person again. He looks at me confused]

JP (Syncro): What's wrong?

JP (Original): I'm putting you in danger. I have to leave.

JP (Syncro): Don't! I can help you like you helped me.

JP (Original): I'm sorry but you're going to be on your own for a while. The same for all my counterparts.

[I then run away into the night. My mark isn't burning crimson red. It's burning an eerie purple. I was once part of the Dark Signers but that was before I met Yusei. Now that he's gone, I have to rely on my Syncro Counterpart to save me. My body aches all over. I have two souls inside me fighting. Then suddenly everything goes black]

3rd Person POV

[JP (Original) disappears and two different people replace him. Both wearing dark cloaks]

???: Who are you?

Xander: I'm Xander. JP's Barian Counterpart. You?

JP (Dark Signer): I'm still JP but I'm his Dark Signer counterpart.

Xander: We're finally free.

JP (Dark Signer): We should go our separate ways. Hopefully we don't join again.

Xander: Agreed.

[Xander vanishes. JP (Dark Signer) Walks away in the darkness. JP (Syncro) rides on his bike. He wishes that his original counterpart stayed so he could help him. Unfortunately it wasn't so. JP rides his bike when suddenly an explosion causes him to stop. He sees that it's a person who used to be his friend: Kalin Kessler]

Kalin: Well look who it is! It's the new champ!

JP: Kalin, what's going on?

Kalin: That doesn't matter. Just know that I'm now a Dark Signer. They've given me a chance to get my revenge.

JP: Revenge on what?

Kalin: You! People think you didn't grow up in the Satelite when you did. You're whole Blue Eyes Master act made me sick. But enough talk. I've waited a long time for this. I challenge you to a Shadow Duel! If you refuse, I'll destroy the Satelite!

JP: You got yourself a deal!

[Far away, all of the Signer's marks begin to glow: Jack, Luna, and Akiza. Akiza stands in the Arcadia building]

Akiza: My mark tells me that JP is in trouble!

[Luna wakes up from her sleep]

Luna: JP's in trouble!

[Jack is in the hospital]

Jack: A Shadow Duel is happening! Signer versus Dark Signer. But where?

[Mina finds Jack and takes him to the airport where they get in a helicopter. Kalin's Dark Sign begins to glow. Suddenly on the ground, Kalin's mark burns like fire]

Jack: JP's down there! Pilot, go lower!

[The pilot does so. JP activates his duel disk. Kalin's appearance changes into his Dark Signer form]

JP: Let's rev it up! (Thoughts) I don't have my counterpart with me, but I can still do this.

Turn 1-JP

JP-8000 LP/Kalin-8000 LP

JP: I'll strike first and hard! My turn. I use Scale 1 Stargazer Magician and Scale 8 Timegazer Magician to set the Pendulum Scale. I'm taking control of this duel starting now!

Kalin: You're not wasting time. Just like old times. I did research on this summoning technique but it won't stop me.

JP: I can now summon monsters between Levels 2 and 7 all at the time! Swing far, Pendulum! Carve the Arc of Victory! My monsters are ready to swing into action! Turning up the heat are two Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragons!

Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon: Scale 4: Level 7- 2500 ATK/ 2000 DEF

Kalin: Really starting fast!

JP: Turn end.

Kalin: Nice first turn. I'll follow up! My turn. I draw! I place a monster face down in DEF Mode and place two cards face down and end my turn.

Turn 3-JP

JP: My turn. Draw. I activate the special ability of my Nobledragon Magician from my hand, By lowering my Odd Eyes's Level by 3, I can special summon it from my hand!

JP: I tune my Level 3 Nobledragon Magician and my Level 4 Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Beat your wings to whip up a whirlwind of destruction! I Synchro Summon! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!

Kalin: You brought that Dragon back. Impressive.

JP: Battle. When I have these two monsters in my Pendulum Zone and a pendulum monster battles, you can't activate any spell or trap cards! First Odd Eyes, attack his face down! Spiral Flame Strike!

Kalin: Hmm.

JP: Second Odd Eyes, attack him directly! Spiral Flame Strike!

Kalin: Ahh!

Kalin-8000 LP - - - 5500 LP

JP: Clear Wing, attack him directly! Spinstorm Skystrike!

Kalin: Ahh!

JP: Turn end.

Turn 4-Kalin

Kalin: I'm in a tough spot. Not a problem. My turn. I draw. I activate my trap: Call of the Haunted! This card let's bring back Infernity Beetle from my Graveyard.

Infernity Beetle: Level 2- 1200 ATK/ 0 DEF

Kalin: I place another monster face down in DEF Mode and end my turn.

Turn 5-JP

JP-8000 LP/Kalin-3000 LP

JP: My turb. Draw. Battle. Odd Eyes, destroy his Infernity Beetle! Spiral Flame Strike! When Odd Eyes deals battle damage, it doubles! Reaction Force!

Kalin: Ahh!

Kalin-3000 LP - - - 400 LP

JP: Clear Wing, destroy his face down monster! Spinstorm Skystrike!

Kalin: No!

[JP prepares to call the last attack to win the duel but the impact from the Odd Eyes's shook the crown crazily and sent JP flying. He falls hard on the ground unconscious. Kalin walks over and laughs]

Kalin: Well, I guess luck is on my side. You passed out before you called that last attack. We'll just have to finish what we started another time. Bye!

[Kalin rides away on his bike]

Jack: We have to go after him!

Mina: Jack, you can't do anything! You don't have your bike. There is nothing you can do.

Jack: Urk. I owe him big time. I just want to avenge him.

Carly: Me too. He owes me a date.

[Crow picks JP up in his back and rides him to safety. Carly is determined to find out who is behind everything so she can avenge JP. All of the Signer marks stopped glowing. All of them were worried about JP]
