Masked Boy POV

[As if on cue, after my duel with Jack a dark signer appeared. It was Roman]

Masked Boy: It's a Dark Signer.

Roman: You are correct. I'm Roman. I'm a member of the Dark Signers. All of you will make perfect sacrifices to the Immortals. Once the Netherworld is open again, there will be nothing standing in our way.

[I step in front]

Masked Boy: You, guys, get out of here. I'll handle this.

Akiza POV

[He tells us to leave. I don't want to. Something about him feels so familiar. It's the same feeling that I have with JP except more. I don't understand. I'm not leaving him]

Akiza: I'm not leaving you.

Masked Boy: Yes you are.

Akiza: No! I'm not.

[I slap him in the face and his mask comes off. I grab it to give it back to him but when I look up I'm surprised to see what I see. This person looks just like JP]

JP (Original): Can I have that back please?

Roman: This interesting. A boy who looks just like another.

JP (Original): You stay away from my Syncro Counterpart. Your fight is with me.

Roman: I wasn't talking about your Syncro Counterpart. I'm talking about you Dark Signer Counterpart.

JP (Original): Tell him that once I'm through with you that he's next. I will get my other half back.

[As I'm listening. Nothing makes sense. There is more than one JP? And if I'm hearing correctly, there's another with the Dark Signers making the total number of JPs 3? He turns to me]

JP (Original): May I have my mask back? Keep what you saw between us. It's better that way.

[I nod and hand him back his mask. He puts it on. I have lots of questions for him]

3rd Person POV

[The Masked Boy puts his mask back on]

Masked Boy: I said to get out of here!

Akiza: I'm not leaving.

Luna: Neither am I!

Jack: Neither am I!

JP: Neither am I!

[The Masked Boy sees all of his friends behind him. He cries tears behind his mask]

Masked Boy: After I win this...I'll answer all of your questions.

[The Masked Boy turns to Roman]

Masked Boy: Let's get this over with!

Roman: Yes. Let's.

[Roman activates his duel disk. His giant spider mark lights up the ground. The Masked Boy activates his duel disk]

Masked Boy: It's time to rev it up!

[The Masked Boy closes his eyes]

Masked Boy: I know what your plan is if you're near losing, Roman. I'll beat you before you get a chance.

Roman: You speak as if you know what will happen.

Masked Boy: That's because I do. Now...

Masked Boy/Roman: Let's duel!

Turn 1-Masked Boy

Masked Boy-8000 LP/Roman-8000 LP

Masked Boy: You know, Roman. You should've made me a Dark Signer. I have a deck that my Dark Signer Counterpart doesn't have. I'll show you what I mean. My turn. I use Scale 1 Stargazer Magician and Scale 8 Timegazer Magician to set the Pendulum Scale! I'm taking control of this duel starting now!

Roman: This is interesting.

Masked Boy: I can now summon monsters between Levels 2 and 7 all at the same time! Swing far, Pendulum! Carve the Arc of Victory! My monster is ready to swing into action! Turn up the heat, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!

Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon: Scale 4: Level 7- 2500 ATK/ 2000 DEF

Leo: Wow. A Level 7 monster just like that.

Masked Boy: I summon Flamvell Guard in ATK Mode.

Flamvell Guard: Level 1- 100 ATK/ 2000 DEF

Masked Boy: I tune my Level 1 Flamvell Guard and my Level 7 Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Clustering wishes will become a new shining star! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Take flight, Stardust Dragon!

Jack: That's his Stardust Dragon!

Masked Boy: Turn end.

Turn 2-Roman

Roman: Hmm. My turn. I draw. I activate the Field Spell: Spider Web. If a monster declares an attack, it's switched to DEF Mode and can't switch back until the end of their next turn. I place a monster face down in DEF Mode and two other cards face down and end my turn.

Turn 3-Masked Boy

Masked Boy: My turn. Draw. From my hand I activate a spell: Twin Twisters! By discarding a card from my hand, I can destroy two of your spell cards. Your spider web is no more. I now use the Pendulum Scale I've already set. Pendulum Summon! Welcome back, Odd Eyes!

Leo: He brought his Odd Eyes back!

Masked Boy: If you've done your research then I won't have to explain how I got my Odd Eyes back. Battle. With these two monsters in my Pendulum Zone and a Pendulum monster battles, you can't activate any spell or trap cards. Odd Eyes, attack his face down card! Spiral Flame Strike!

Roman: Hmph.

Masked Boy: Stardust Dragon, attack him directly! Shooting Sonic!

Roman: I activate my trap card: Lair Wire. I remove an Insect Monster from my Graveyard and then destroy your Stardust Dragon!

Masked Boy: I activate the special ability of my Stardust Dragon. By sending it to the Graveyard, I can negate your trap and save my dragon! Victim Sanctuary!

Roman: Urk.

Masked Boy: Turn end. Now my Stardust Dragon returns to my field.

Turn 4-Roman

Masked Boy-8000 LP/Roman-8000 LP

Roman: Hmph. My turn. I draw. I place a monster face down in DEF Mode and another card face down and end my turn.

Turn 5-Masked Boy

Masked Boy: My turn. Draw. I summon Dragonpulse Magician in ATK Mode!

Dragonpulse Magician: Scale 1 : Level 4- 1800 ATK/ 900 DEF

Masked Boy: Battle. Odd Eyes, attack his face down! Spiral Flame Strike!

Roman: Not so fast! I activate my trap: No Entry! This switches all monsters to DEF Mode!

Masked Boy: Hmph. Turn end.

Turn 6-Roman

Masked Boy-8000 LP/Roman-8000 LP

Roman: My turn. I draw. I flip summon Drillroid!

Drillroid: Level 4- 1600 ATK/ 1600 DEF

Roman: It will now attack your Dragonpulse Magician. When Drillroid attacks a monster in DEF Mode, it automatically destroys it!

Masked Boy: I activate the special ability of my Stardust Dragon! By sending it to the Graveyard, I can save my monster and destroy yours! Victim Sanctuary!

Roman: Hmph. I place a monster face down in DEF Mode and end my turn.

Masked Boy: My Stardust Dragon returns to my field.

Turn 8-Masked Boy

Masked Boy-8000 LP/Roman-8000 LP

Masked Boy: My turn. Draw. I place a card face down. I switch all of my monsters to ATK Mode! Battle. Odd Eyes, destroy his face down! Spiral Flame Strike!

Roman: The special ability of my Howling Insect in my Graveyard activates. When it's destroyed, I can special summon 1 Insect monster with 1500 ATK or less from my deck. I choose. Spyder Spider!

Spyder Spider: Level 4- 1500 ATK/ 1000 DEF

Masked Boy: Dragonpulse Magician, destroy his spider!

Roman: Hmph.

Masked Boy: Stardust Dragon, attack him directly! Shooting Sonic!

Roman: Ahh!

Roman-8000 LP - - - 5500 LP

Masked Boy: Turn end.

Turn 8-Roman

Roman: My turn. I draw. I place a monster face down in DEF Mode and end my turn.

[Before the Masked Boy can start his turn, Roman speaks]

Roman: I won't be finishing this duel. Someone will duel for me instead!

Masked Boy: No! Don't you dare, you coward! This is between you and me.

Roman: Oh, I think I will. Rally, come finish this for me!

[Rally walks over to Roman and takes the duel disk. Roman walks away to a safe distance]

Rally: I'm sorry, whoever you are.

Masked Boy: Roman, you snake!

JP: Hey, don't duel him!

Masked Boy: I have to. Please understand, JP, that this will hurt me just as much as it will hurt you.

JP: How do you know?

Masked Boy: I already told you why.

JP: I understand. Do what you must.

Turn 9-Masked Boy

Masked Boy-8000 LP/Rally-5500 LP

Masked Boy: This is the end. My turn. Draw. I summon Goblinbergh in ATK Mode!

Goblinbergh: Level 4- 1400 ATK/ 0 DEF

Masked Boy: Battle. Odd Eyes, destroy his face down!

Rally: Hmph.

Masked Boy: Dragonpulse Magician and Goblinbergh, attack him directly!

Rally: At the same time?

Masked Boy: Yes.

Rally: Ahh!

Rally-5500 LP - - - 2300 LP

[The Masked Boy hesitates to do the last attack]

JP: Do it!

Masked Boy: Stardust Dragon, attack him directly and end this duel!

Rally: Ahh!

Rally-2300 LP - - - 0 LP

Winner: Masked Boy

[Rally vanishes as the Masked Boy falls to his knees]

Masked Boy: I'm sorry, Rally.

Rally: It's okay, JP.

Masked Boy: What?

Rally: (Chuckles) Did you really think a mask would hide you?

[Rally vanishes]

Masked Boy: (Shouts) RALLY!

[The rest of the Dark Signers gather around Roman]

Roman: No wonder why the human race is going extinct. No one is selfish anymore.

Kalin: Be nice, Roman. They lost a few people to the Netherworld.

Masked Boy: You will pay for what you've done!

[A cloaked figure walks forward]

Cloaked Figure: Is that wise?

Jack: Who are you?

Cloaked Figure: Someone who's about to make things a lot more complicated.

[The cloaked figure reveals himself as JP (Dark Signer). Everyone is shocked]

Leo: There is another JP?

Jack: JP, what's going on?

JP: I have no idea.

JP (Dark Signer): Care to reveal yourself?

[The Masked Boy removes his mask and reveals himself to be JP (Original)]

Jack: A third JP? What the deck is going on?

JP (Original): I'll explain later. JP (Dark Signer), I will defeat you!

JP (Dark Signer): Sorry but I'm not joining you again. I am free and I will stay that way.

Jack: Then face us right now!

JP (Original): They won't duel, Jack. They want to duel somewhere else.

Jack: What?

JP (Dark Signer): Yes. We will duel somewhere else. Since you already know where it is. We'll meet you there.

JP (Original): Carly? Misty? I know you're over there! I'll get you back! I promise!

Carly: Sorry but we stay with our husband.

JP (Original): He's not your husband! I am!

Misty: Your power pales compared to his.

JP (Original): I'll get you both back! I promise!

[JP (Original) falls to his knees in tears]

JP: (Original): I will fix everything! I promise! I promise!

JP (Dark Signer): Look at you. So weak and pathetic. You won't stop me that way. Not that I'm complaining. We will meet you at the spot! Signer versus Dark Signer. This will be one heck of a battle which you will lose.

[JP (Dark Signer) and the rest of the Dark Signers walk away. The others gather around JP (Original) who is sobbing]

JP (Original): I promise I'll fix everything. I promise.

Jack: You have some explaining to do.

JP (Syncro) Cut him some slack. Give him some air and let him explain.

[JP (Original) stands up and faces the group. He is swallowed in hug by Akiza and Luna. He is very confused]

JP (Original): What is going on?

Luna: You're not alone.

Akiza: We're with you every step of the way.

[The girls pull away from him]

JP (Original): Thanks. I know you have lots of questions. I'll answer them the best I can in the short amount of time that we have. So, this is what's happening...
