Masked Boy POV

[I had just teleported from my friends after mu duel with Greigar. I really didn't want to duel Greigar. I don't know if there is a way to save his village but I'll do my best. I put that out of my mind because there was only one person that I was going after: Kalin. He and I have some unfinished business. Before I knew it we were standing face to face. With those tattoos on his face just makes me want to punch him more]

3rd Person POV

Kalin: So you finally arrive! What took you so long?

Masked Boy: Let's just get this over with.

Kalin: Eager to die are you? I already saw your other two duels. They must have worn you out.

Masked Boy: I have more than enough strength to protect my loved ones.

Kalin: That is why you're weak. You've gotten soft. We were supposed to take down New Domino City together but you sold me out. Now, I have come back for some payback.

Masked Boy: You don't have to do this Kalin. You can just walk now.

Kalin: Too late to turn back now.

Masked Boy: Then you leave me no choice.

[Kalin activates his duel disk as his dark sign lights up the ground]

Kalin: I've been waiting a long time for this.

Masked Boy: You should've waited longer.

[The Masked Boy activates his duel disk]

Masked Boy: It's time to rev it up!

[The group makes in time to see the duel. They try to get close but can't with the flames in the way]

JP (Syncro): JP (Original), what are you doing?

[The Masked Boy doesn't answer]

Rin: JP (Original), please speak to us.

[The Masked Boy doesn't answer. His focus is on Kalin]

Turn 1-Masked Boy

Masked Boy: I'll go first. My turn. I place Timegazer Magician in my Pendulum Zone. I also place a card face down. I summon Goblinbergh in ATK Mode!

Goblinbergh: Level 4- 1400 ATK/ 0 DEF

Masked Boy: Its special ability allows me to summon Flamvell Magician from my hand.

Flamvell Magician: Level 4- 1400 ATK/ 200 DEF

Masked Boy: I tune Level 4 Flamvell Magician with my Level 4 Goblinbergh! Gathering stars will become a new shining star! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Take flight, Stardust Dragon!

Kalin: Starting fast? Good! I would hate for this duel to be boring. My turn. I draw. From my hand I activate a spell: Lightning Vortex! By discarding a card, I can destroy your dragon!

Masked Boy: I don't think so! I activate the special ability of my Stardust Dragon! By sending it to the Graveyard, I can negate your spell and save my dragon! Victim Sanctuary!

Kalin: Hmph. I summon Infernity Archfiend in ATK Mode!

Infernity Archfiend: Level 4- 1800 ATK/ 1200 DEF

Kalin: It will now attack you directly! Hell Pressure!

Masked Boy: Trap card, open: Mirror Force! Now your monster is destroyed!

Kalin: No! I place two cards face down and end my turn.

Masked Boy: Now my Stardust Dragon returns to my field.

Turn 3-Masked Boy

Masked Boy: My turn. Draw.

Kalin: I activate my trap card: Infernity Inferno! I can discard up to 2 cards and send the number of Infernity cards from my deck to my Graveyard.

Leo: Why would he do that?

JP (Syncro): It's all strategy.

Jack: Let's hope he finds out what it is before he's a goner.

Masked Boy: I place Stargazer Magician in my Pendulum Zone. Battle. Stardust Dragon, attack Kalin directly! Shooting Sonic!

Kalin: Ahh!

Yugo: Kalin put himself in a tough spot now that he has no cards in his hand.

JP (Syncro): I'm sure this is all a part of the plan.

Masked Boy: Turn end.

Turn 4-Kalin

Kalin: Hmm. This is fun but I'll defeat you in the end.

Masked Boy: I know my friend is in there somewhere. I'll get him back.

Kalin: Too late for that! My turn. I draw! I place on card face down and end my turn.

Masked Boy: My turn. Draw. From my hand I activate a spell: Twin Twisters. By discarding a card, I can destroy both of your face downs!

Kalin: No!

Jack: Now Kalin's wide open!

Masked Boy: Battle. Stardust Dragon, attack him directly! Shooting sonic!

Kalin: Ahh!

Masked Boy: You're not escaping this time, Kalin. I'm finishing what I'm started last time. Turn end.

Kalin: Urk. I won't lose to you! My turn. I draw! I reveal the card I drew: Infernity Archfiend! If I draw this card and I have no other cards in my hand, I can special summon this card to my field! And if I have no other cards in my hand, I can add 1 Infernity card from my deck to my hand. I end my turn.

Turn 7-Masked Boy

Masked Boy: My turn. Draw. I place one card face down. Battle. Stardust Dragon, destroy his monster! Shooting Sonic!

Kalin: Urk.

Masked Boy: Turn end.

Kalin: My turn. I draw. I place on card face down and end my turn.

Turn 9-Masked Boy

[Kalin just sneers]

Kalin: Ahh!

Winner: Masked Boy

[The Masked Boy walks over to Kalin]

Masked Boy: It's over.

Kalin: You were always better than me.

Masked Boy: I didn't sell you out.

Kalin: I know.

Masked Boy: Then what was the whole point of this?

Kalin: To make you proud of me.

[Silence]

Kalin: Do me a favor and beat your Dark Signer Counterpart.

Masked Boy: I will.

Kalin: See you after all of this.

[Kalin vanishes. The Masked Boy sees his friends. He teleports away]

Crow: Okay, we need to find an easier way to catch him because clearly this isn't working.

JP (Syncro): How about we split up? We can cover more ground that way.

Akiza: As much as I hate the idea of splitting up, it's probably for the best.

Jack: Who do you think is his next target?

JP (Syncro): Could be anyone.

[Meanwhile, the Masked Boy stumbles across his next opponent. His opponent just smiles]

???: You ready for this?

Masked Boy: Always, Roman.
