I was at a sort of "church" today.... It was basically a meeting of several people at a family friend's house about emergency supplies and stuff, and there were so many people I didn't know. A whole houseful. And all of you should probably know that I get really shy and uncomfortable when I'm surrounded by strangers, and it can take me awhile to warm up to people and come out of my shell.

So, I pretty much sat by myself and tried not to stare at anyone, sketching and doodling to try and relax.

Most of the art was ugly and I didn't take a picture of it, but I loved this one. It kind of reflects what I was feeling right then.

I actually wound up showing it to a few of the kids there, and I was able to chill out and socialize with the courage a few of their compliments gave me.

Art is really my savior sometimes. So is music. I slipped away to play my violin and this one kid found me and said I played better than his mom lol
