I found this amazing pin on Pinterest that talked about types of wings and winged humans. They talked about wing length, types, etc.

Raven wings are elliptical, meaning they are good for:

- Tight manoeuvering 

- Short bursts of speed

- High energy flight

- Short, rounder, wider wings

- Low-aspect ratio

Owls, pheasants, crows, and ravens all have these types of wings. This means that Destiny also has them. It's cool because these wings are literally perfect for her, and being the smallest of all possible wing types, it makes it more useful for her in battle too.

1. She's always high energy. Constantly alert, constantly ready, she needs wings that require that in flight. Check!

2. Destiny doesn't always need to move fast, instead requiring them in shorter bursts so that she can strike enemies with more power. Check!

3. Tight manoeuvering? Destiny literally lives and works in spaces that are considered tight. Her wings are made for flying in smaller spaces, so check on that too!

Elliptical wings have a 2.1 wing type multiplication. Destiny is 5'8" or 172.72 cm. Her back is 35 cm. So her wingspan calculation is...

(172.72 x 2.1) + 35 = W

362.712 + 35 = W

W = 397.172 cm or 13.03 ft.

So Destiny's wings are 13 feet across! Considering that I always said her wings were around 14 feet across, I feel very proud that I was close.
