Skya slowly wakes up with the reflecting sunlight hitting at her eyes along with the feeling like her head was gonna burst from the splitting headache that woke her and she looks to see Wakasa fast asleep on the sponge beds next to her. "Did I really drink too much?" She murmured. "I don't remember sleeping here." Her mind was a big fuzzy blur being unable to recall what happened last night.

"Awake already, Skya?" The blond merman notices her being slightly disoriented and rubbing her head trying to alleviate her splitting headache.  "I was." She said mildly annoyed. "I found kelp, I picked it myself and it can be our breakfast." Wakasa said holding the picked bunch of giant kelp fronds he found. "Good for you." Skya sarcastically said grabbing some fronds and eating them. "Well I was just doing what you told me about being an independent merman."

"But I didn't even tell you that foraging for giant kelp fronds is what we do. Yes we do eat the kelp but in different ways, barnacle brain." Skya said grumpily.

This was gonna be a long day for Wakasa than it was before seeing her swim off prompting him to follow the mildly hungover mermaid.

After some swimming they then came up the surface near to a dock area where there was a pierside restaurant. "There's our breakfast." She points over to a table where there were omelets, bacon and waffles were there which would be enough for them to share. "There's a trick to getting food to us is this loose floorboard it takes stealth, finese and hand-eye coordination." She said getting under the table with their food."
"Skya but isn't this stealing?"
"Wakasa, it's not stealing if the humans don't know who or what did take their meal." He stares at her seeing that she didn't call him "Blondie" or something else that would be insulting.

"I'm gonna use this rock on that floorboard and if my calulations are correct, you catch the food right at that rock." She points over to the rock where Wakasa would perch himself to get their meal. Skya struggles with the large rock she found and got to the loose floorboard. Before sending the food on the table flying, she looks up to see if the coast is clear of humans coming near their targeted table and there were other humans but they weren't focused on their direction and no other humans were coming near it. She looks to Wakasa giving him the signal to get into position at the rock where he'll perch himself.

"Ready, Skya!"

The mermaid smirks to herself holding her rock above her head. "Breakfast is served." She throws it down and just like she calculated, the loose floorboard sends the food flying from the table to Wakasa's direction grabbing both the omelets and waffles with both hands and the bacon with his tailfin. "I got it Skya!" She dives down into the water and swims over to him after stealing two forks.

"Not bad, for a domestic merman." He shrugged giving the dark haired mermaid that as he gives her their share. "That is how I usualluly get breakfast. Humans can be so blissfully unaware at times." He wanted to say something that humans aren't always blissfully unaware but knows that he was gonna get a really hard tailfin slap to the face by her. "Now you saw and learned something here. Let's get going, we got a whole lot of ocean to cover." She eats the last of her breakfast and heads back down into the water.

"So you don't have a home where you settle down in?"
"I do, I'm just the kind of mermaid that would go wherever the ocean current takes me. An oceanic drifter."
