Ohh a double update owo. Crazy right? This one is kind short only 1035 words.

The ride to Damian's location was long. Batman filled the silence with the story of how he was taken to the Court of Owls and learned more about their operation. Sparrow didn't know what to do with the shared information. She had some past knowledge of the legend behind the wealthy citizens of Gotham but only when she saw Talon approach Robin she knew they existed. Sparrow nodded as she gave her thoughts to the driver but chose to keep quiet about her little night out. She wanted to be spared a lecture. Those were usually given to Damian.

"I'll sign the documents as soon as we return to the manor," the Dark Knight looked to his side at the young hero. "You must be getting antsy."

Sparrow looked out the window, "I don't want them to get lost again." The Batmobile's tires sped over the damp streets.

"Have you talked to Damian about what happened?"

"Of course I tried! He just chooses to be a -" Sparrow paused her frustration and glanced to the side, remembering who she was talking to. She sighed and decided not to get riled up. That energy would be better spent on the battlefield. "He won't listen. I don't know why, but every time I attempt at a conversation he gets an attitude."

"And do you reciprocate the attitude?"

"Of course I do! You wouldn't?" Sparrow furrowed her brows in confusion. She saw Batman's face and was unable to decipher the emotions he displayed. Or rather, what he kept in his mind. "You try being in my shoes and tell me you wouldn't talk back to him." She crossed her arms and slumped into the passenger seat.

The car slowed to a stop in a dark alley. It was hidden in the shadows and even if someone tried to interfere with the vehicle in any form, defense mechanisms would keep the person in check.

Batman unbuckled and unlocked the door. "I am doing my best to not get involved in the situation but perhaps you could see it through Damian's shoes." Y/n stopped unbuckling to face him. "I know of your past and I understand this may come across as biased, but you should realize, Damian is new to this. Unlike you, he never had any positive reinforcements in his life," Sparrow looked down and took in his words. "And despite his arrogance, Damian's a good kid. He has just been misguided."

Y/n never really thought about it like that. Damian as a victim? What happened to him almost everyone would agree it was horrible and no child deserves to live in such high standards but did it amount to what Y/n had gone through?

No... Right?

"Okay Bruce," Sparrow looked at Batman. "I'll take it into consideration." Batman nodded in thanks and the two left the Batmobile and scaled the nearest building to finish their destination.

Over a closed Italian restaurant, a drug lord held a meeting with his subordinates about what they would do next. The fine wood table was topped with a whole turkey, spaghetti, salads, soups, ham, fine cheese, and wine. And the most noticeable item: a thin shirtless man, hung from the ceiling by his arms, a bloody rag covering his mouth.

The drug lord thought it best to tell the story of how he became so successful, how he rose to the power he had. What he had to do in order to obtain it, and who he had to off. As he was close to the end of the story of Big Frankie's murder (a shot to the head) Mr. Draco stood up and proudly chomped on his turkey leg. The room laughed at the lord's joke. The big-bellied man laughed and held his stomach until the food got caught in his throat. The man began to choke, he coughed and hacked trying to remove the food and clear his airway but he was failing.

All hope was lost for the crime master until armored arms pressed up into his ribcage and helped him remove the food. Now being able to breathe again, Mr. Draco heavily panted.

"Holy Jesus," his eyes widened, "I might've croaked on the spot if not for-" he turned around to thank his savior until he was met with a deep voice and masked face. "Who the hell are you?"

Talon emerged from the shadows and gave a snarky remark, "I'm the evening's entertainment." He spun around his throwing knives. The man gave a snarky answer and all the associates of Mr. Draco, including the fat man himself, pulled out guns and began shooting. Talon quickly moved and attacked the nearest man. From the smoke jumped out Robin. He knocked the guns out of two criminals' hands and backflipped, kicking them both in the face, knocking them both unconscious. Talon, on the other hand, aimed to kill and the ones he got to, would not be waking up. The two fought until they both corners Mr. Draco. The man had no weapon and began to find another way out of the situation.

"I can pay you. More money than you've ever seen."

Robin kicked him in the stomach knocking him to his knees. "I don't give a damn about money." He punched Mr. Draco to the floor. "What I care about is payback for the lives you drugs have ruined." The drug lord attempted to crawl away. Robin kicked him in the side turning the man over, more than likely breaking a rib or two. The hooded boy continued to kick the fat man as he whimpered in pain. "For the widows and orphans left in your bloody wake."

"You wanna help widows and orphans, punk, go join the Salvation Army."

Robin jumped onto the man, digging his padded knees into the middle-aged man's chest. Talon placed a knife in Robin's hand, telling him to finish what he started. Robin placed the knife to the fat man's neck and thought about it. But the newer voice inside told him not to. It was the lessons he learned over the year. What his father had taught him, and what his partner was struggling with as well. Not nearly as much but it was there. After all, it was all they knew. But like all things.

They changed.
