Katherine is a stunningly beautiful young woman, with a softly toned face that is always seen with a perfect smile. She has a medium toned skin, and freckles that bunch across the bridge of her nose and scatter out along her cheeks, adorning her soft skin. She's rather short in height, and while most girls complain of being short, Katherine rather likes being short. She wears minimal make-up, never seeing the need for very much. Her beautiful, pale green eyes always are alight with happiness. Katherine has thick rimmed glasses with a tortoise colored design, which she will at times exchange for contacts, but not very often. Katherine sticks to a simple style of denim, flannel, skinny jeans, leggings, and boots, all in fairly light colors.

Katherine is simply what most would call, an Angel in disguise. She's a radiant young adult that loves to feel the wind in her hair. Katherine is very sweet, gentle, kind, and carefree. She loves to laugh, joke around and tease those she is close too, showing affection towards anyone she knows, personally or not. All around, she has a very good heart, on that is of gold. Katherine is actually a very curious soul, one that delves into her research completely, a good reason as to why she became an environmental biologist. She has a love of nature, and is interested in everything about it. She is very bright, smart, and quick to catch onto things when she pays attention. Katherine isn't one to simply give up, either. She will fight for what she believes in until the very end, making her very passionate about many things. At times, Katherine can become very nervous and scared when she doesn't know what's going on, a habit that was formed when she was young after her mother was shot and killed for unknown reasons. Katherine is never known to snap, and absolutely hates being yelled at or criticized, partly the reason why she doesn't do so to others.

Katherine came home from school to find her mother, dead on the ground, with a hole in her head, eighteen stab wounds and cuts, in a pool of her own blood. Katherine was so scarred by the experiance that she went through five years of therapy.

You remembered the exact day you met Katherine Laurent.
June 17, 2011.

The two of you met during the summer at a local diner. Katherine was working there that summer, and for the next month of that summer you went back to the diner to talk with Katherine.

The two of you became friends, and had some of the same classes together at the local high school, so you often saw each other.

It wasn't long before the two of you fell deep in love, and became very close after you got together with her. You were known as the high school sweethearts, but you didn't mind the label you were given, only that you got to be with your beloved Katherine.

Time went on. Katherine and you went to college, but you refused to let that make you both be separated.

You would call her all the time, talk, and laugh over the phone, and you would get together on holidays. Soon enough, you had both graduated and moved in with each other.

A year after living together, you proposed to Katherine, and with joyous tears running down her face, she said yes as you slipped the ring onto her finger.

You couldn't possibly be happier.

The wedding date was set, and the two of you decided upon the date of June 17.
That fateful day when you both met.

You couldn't help but feel your heart pound as you stood on the alter and watched Katherine be led by her father in her wedding dress.

She truely was beautiful.

And as the words you both spoke binded you together, you knew that the two of you would be together forever.

The kiss you shared up on the alter sealed both of your fates.

And as your friends and family cheered and clapped as you kissed Katherine, you had no idea of what fate truely had in store for you.

Two months before the approaching date of your first year together as man and wife, Katherine sat down with you on the couch and clutched your hands as she smiled widely, and told you that she was pregnant.

You were in a joyful shock, and couldn't be happier. You were really going to start a family with the love of your life, and you could hardly wait.

On June 17, 2019, you and Katherine arrived in Florida for your one year anniversary.

The first few days, the two of you went on hikes and to landmarks in the area, and to the many tourist attractions around.

Then, that fateful day came.

The one that would change your lives, forever.

June 21, 2019.

The two of you headed out that afternoon to the beach on the west coast, hand in hand as you laughed and conversed with one another.

You walked into the water, and the two of you were like children, laughing and teasing each other as the cool water wrapped around your bodies.

You were both completely content, happy.

Katherine was in your arms as you held her close, her head laying against your chest as she spoke softly to you.

"I love you," she murmured happily.

You smiled, and gently kissed the top of her head. "I love you too, Kat."

As Katherine let out a happy sigh, everything changed.

Screams suddenly rang out from the south side of the beach, and Katherine's eyes widened as she looked up.

That's when the gunshots rang out, and people began to scatter, running away.

"We have to go, we have to leave!" Katherine exclaimed as pure fear entered her eyes, and she looked up at you with terror.
