The right answer was number two: "'What do you remember, James, of our talks about Swedenborg? Do you remember when we talked about his Bible description one evening in the library?"

In downtown LA, stands a building that has disturbed the peace of the city of angels for many decades. Cecil hotel has gained a morbid reputation since it opened its doors in 1927. It's believed that the hotel is possessed or haunted due to the many violent and horrific incidents that took place within its walls.

The most infamous incident happened in 2013. The guests of the hotel complained about a foul-taste in the water. An inspection of one of the large rooftop tanks led to an abominable discovery. The staff found the decomposing body of 21-year-old Elisa Lam who had been missing for two weeks.

Elisa's death bewildered many, especially after security footage of one of the hotel's elevators surfaced online. In the video, Elisa was acting erratically as if she was terrified of something. She was seen arguing with someone who was either not seen on camera or wasn't even there at all...

Authorities ruled her death as an accidental drowning, but many believed otherwise as many mysteries remained unsolved. How did she manage to get to the roof without a key? How did she manage to get into the huge water tank, and most importantly, how did she close the heavy lid after her?

As a fright investigator, what do you think of Lam's eerie death?

The hotel's dire history goes back to 1931 when the first death was recorded. Since then, the number of deaths linked to the hotel exceeded 16. Many were suicides. Some were homicides. The hotel served as inspiration for American Horror Story: Hotel.

Now, it's time for some investigations. Three of the facts listed below are true. Which one is false?

1. Elizabeth Short—The Black Dhalia—was seen at the Cecil a few days before her gruesome murder.

2. A pedestrian walking by the Cecil was struck to death by a falling woman.

3. An old woman was brutally murdered inside her room and her killer was never caught. Her ghost is still seen roaming the hotel.

4. Serial killers: Richard Ramirez and Jack Unterweger were residents of the hotel while they were on their killing sprees.
