It all starts here

IT WAS THE BEGINNING OF SUMMER NOW AND INSTEAD of getting food themselves, Eli's parents decided to send him. He didn't mind, though his rivalry with Pope was still going strong, he did enjoy seeing Heyward who he deemed "a pretty cool pogue". Anyways, it was obvious the Worthington's were busy, and after the recent talk they had with him, the boy was happy to oblige.

He rested his tooth pick in his mouth, getting out of his car as he stared at the store. Sometimes he figured the cut wasn't that bad, until he got there and seen the way trash was thrown about the streets with no regard for the island they lived on. The boy let out a slight sigh before slamming his door shut and safely crossing the street.

"Sup, loser." Elijah grinned once he reached the the front of the store, leaning his elbows on the counter as he bit the end of his tooth pick.

"What do you want? School is done with, and so are our competitions. I don't need to see you during the summer." Pope rolled his eyes slightly, wiping down the counter surrounding the other boy with a towel.

"What I want is my parents order, i'd say please but, I wouldn't mean it." The Worthington boy sent the boy across from him a sly wink. "Nice shirt by the way. Fits nice."

Eli kept a sly grin on his face, the one he usually wore while messing with Pope. The Heyward boy stared at him a few seconds before turning away, shaking his head slightly. A laugh escaped Elijah's lips as he watched the boy walk in the other direction, and if he was honest, he didn't mind watching one bit.

But, Elijah Worthington was never honest, not to Pope at least.

"I can't find it, are you sure that your parents ordered anything?" Pope continued searching through the bags for the name. "It could be on the boat, i'm making home deliveries later on—"

"So I came down here for no reason?" Eli straightened himself up. "Dude, I could have drank two whole beers by now, or at least an hour of lounging."

"That's not very Kooky of you." The Heyward boy stood up straight with a sigh. "If I find it, i'll bring it to your house."

"Bullshit it isn't Kooky, we drink beers all the time, i'm just not sloppy when I drink." Elijah folded his arms across his chest. "That's for poor people, you know, Pogues."

"Are you saying I get sloppy when I drink?" Pope narrowed his eyes. "That's not even close to true."

"Tell that to the time you were throwing yourself at me after having one too many beers, Heyward. It was a little funny, actually. I didn't really mind the whole thing but once you—"

"Okay, okay, okay." The Heyward boy covered his ears to prevent himself from getting any more embarrassed by his actions. "I'm sure your order is on the boat, i'll bring it later, okay?"

"Yeah, just come in the house, I don't really feel like dragging bags anywhere anyways." Eli paused, lightly tapping the counter with a smile. "See you later, Heyward."

"See you later, Heyward." Pope mocked as Elijah walked off, still chewing on the end of his wooden toothpick.

"I heard that!" The Worthington boy chuckled as he walked out of Heywards, holding his middle finger up.

Friggin Pogues.

SARAH SAT RESTED ON ELI'S SHOULDERS AS HE walked through the pool water. She laughed as Kira did her best to stay firm on Rafe's shoulders before falling over, face first into the water. Elijah stopped himself from jumping up, wanting to celebrate a victory.

"Team Seli, one point!" The Cameron girl yelled, holding a fist in the air as she carefully climbed off of her best friend, they were a competitive pair, and always worked well together.

"Yeah, yeah, we'll beat you next time, right, K? That was pure luck." Rafe had always tried to create competitions between all four of them, ever since he was little, Sarah and Eli had adapted to that, and usually won.

Honestly, nobody could understand the frienship between Rafe and Kira. They were complete polar opposites and yet, they were together quite often. Except, the times he got pissed off she was nice to a Pogue or when she was upset he went to get high.

"It's not about winning or losing, it's about having a good time." The Worthington girl smiled. "Or at least that's what I think."

"I'm calling bullshit on everyone today." Eli rested his hand on the side of the pool, hoisting himself up and out of the pool. "Life is always about winning, we're all dying to win."

"Not all of us." Kira defended, shrugging her shoulders. "Me and Sarah are actually very sane."

"I'd say so." The Cameron girl smiled, wrapping an arm around Kira as she saluted both Elijah and Rafe. "Sane squad here."

"I hate to break up this great conversation but, what the hell is a Pogue doing in your house?" The Cameron boy pointed through the glass doors where Pope stood, looking around as he tried to find the kitchen.

"He's fine, I told him to go inside." Eli reached over, grabbing his towel before wrapping it around his waist tightly. "You guys stay here, I got this."

Before Rafe could comment something about not trusting someone from the cut in the Worthington house, Elijah left, not really wanting to hear any speeches from him.

"Are you lost?" Elijah asked, a smile on his face as Pope turned around, his jaw practically hitting the floor.

"No—..yeah... uhm... urr.." He scratched the back of his neck, not wanting to make eye contact as he looked around the room. "Are you uhm.."

The Heyward boy pointed up and down, motioning to the Worthington boys body.

"Naked? I don't know, you could find out if you want, all you have to do is pull off the towel." Eli leaned up against the doorframe, happy that he could possibly make somebody so flustered, especially his biggest rival. "Unless you're scared."

"I'm not scared I just uh, I have work to do so could you show me to the kitchen? And maybe put a shirt on or something..."

"Which do you want me to do first? I gotta tell you, i'm not much of a multitasker if i'm honest." Elijah shrugged.

"Just show me the kitchen." Pope slumped in place, a frown evident on his face.

"Fine, this way." Eli started walking, dragging water throughout the marble floor as he did. "It's kind of flattering you like seeing me with my shirt off."

"I never said that!" The Heyward boys voice went up about a million pitches as they reached the kitchen, only furthering the other boys ego even more.

Pope was obviously nervous, and it was cute to him.

"Didn't have to." The Worthington teen slapped his hand on the kitchen counter. "Set 'em down anywhere, I don't really care, i'm sure that Kira can have Rafe do it or something. He'll do anything she says."

"Tell Kira I said hi." Pope set the bags down, wiping his clammy hands on the shorts he was wearing. "Will that be all, sir?"

"No." Elijah replied, crossing his arms and placing one leg over the other, leaning his body against the counter.

"Wh-what?" The Heyward boy stuttered out.

"I'm just fucking with you, you're good to go. When my parents get back i'll have them send you a nice big tip. See ya around, Heyward."

... and he would.

AUTHORS NOTE—
Honestly Eli is such a dick and while he will go through a little bit of character development, he's mostly going to stay the same the whole time lmfao.

Any predictions so far?

Hope you enjoyed!
