As Sakurai roamed the slightly-deserted halls of Hoshinomori, the cherry-haired pianist felt a shiver run down her spine as she, once more, recalled the events that happened in her dorm room with her new, and terrifyingly touchy, upperclassman, Isako.

Without even realizing it, the 15 year-old first-year had wandered into an empty classroom, bumping into a hard entity. Looking up, Sakurai's eyes widened a fraction as small stars seemed to twinkle in her habitually melancholic-looking eyes.

The gorgeous grand piano was pristine and unbelievably shiny, as if it were newly bought, and made out of a charming-looking wood. 'Dark oak, most likely.' She thought, thoughtfully. (A/N : Lol, thought thoughtfully. gg no re.)

Looking around the quiet, spacious room, void of any life-forms, Sakurai hesitantly sat down on the piano bench, scooting the wide seat closer to the large instrument. Then, the pinkette carefully lifted the moderately-heavy cover, sliding it back into a small nook used to hold the piece of wood. With the cover out of the way, Sakurai could clearly see the white and black keys of the piano, forming a perfect line on her beloved instrument.

With slightly-shaking hands, (due to uncontrollable excitement) the young pianist pressed down softly on the pianoforte's keys, starting a near-silent tune that turned into a loud, and sorrowful performance that reflected her feelings like a mirror.

What the pinkette didn't notice, however, was the swiftly forming crowd of people who had been meaning to pass by the music room or had come to practice their own instruments. Too mesmerized by the captivating sound of music, the students just formed a cluster in the spacious room, watching as oddly shaped sparkles shimmered in the bright, morning light. Though, in the midst of all the adoration and enthralled stares, two particular students were especially entranced by the heart-aching melody.

One an abnormally tall first-year with fiery red hair, and the second a ginger second-year who had been passing by the room's window until she was pulled by the music towards the classroom.

Suddenly, as the song's tune got became rougher (though still holding its graceful personality) snowflake sparkles of every shape and design, glistened through the room, making Music Room 7 look like a Winter Wonderland in the summer.

The snowflake shaped sparkles were littered on the newly waxed floors, creating piles of white, shining clusters until Sakurai's woeful piece came to an end and the last snowflake-sparkle fell to the floor.

Getting up from the piano bench, the  cherry-haired pianist's eyes jolted open when a deafening array of cheers erupted from the large hoard of students, ultimately shattering her focus causing her snowflakes to crumble to dust and become swept away in a subtle breeze.

With a troubled expression evident on her face, Sakurai thanked the portion of the student body that had heard her play before snatching up her messenger bag and darting out of the room before she had to go through anymore human-contact.

After the whole 'Piano Winter Wonderland' incident, almost the entire student body of Hoshinomori Private School was talking about the mysterious "Piano Prodigy" first-year who had put on a spectacular mini-performance, earning Sakurai the title of 'Virtuoso Princess'.

As the silent pinkette sat in class 1-A, her homeroom, 30 minutes before class actually started, she contemplated the song she had played earlier, slightly smiling as she remembered the entire feel of the keys as her hand made contact with the ivory pieces of wood. With a breathy sigh of satisfaction, Sakurai let her arms rest on her connected desk before laying her head in her arm-nest, slowly rocking off to sleep.

"Right, Rin?" Tsukushi Monet said, replying to the squeaks from his pet/friend hedgehog 'Rin'.

Once he diverted his gaze from the spiny mammal, the mauve-haired first-year clicked his tongue as he saw another student sleeping on their desk.

His tousled, pale hair shifted in the breeze that was coming from the large, open window on the side of the classroom, causing the napping pinkette to involuntarily shudder.

With pursed lips, Tsukushi sat down in the seat to the right of the cherry-haired student, his cheek leaning on his fist as he watched the girl sleep (not in a creepy way, gosh).

Once more students began flowing in one by one as the time neared for class to start, the Monochrome Prince shook his seat mate awake, prompting the pianist awake.

"Class is going to start soon." He said, amused as the girl flinched at the sudden sunlight. The pinkette muttered an audible 'Thank you,' before turning her attention to the front, where more and more students continued to pour through the narrow doorway until the teacher made her appearance.

The woman was fairly young, in her late 20s to early 30s, and had wavy, scarlet hair that flowed down to her hips. She was dressed formally and had a warm expression displayed on her face. Overall, Sakurai's teacher was quite beautiful and caught the attention of most of the male students in the classroom.

"Woah, isn't she really pretty?" Asked a voice from beside the cherry-haired pianist.

Looking to her left, Sakurai saw a girl with curled, brown hair and dazzling aqua-blue eyes. The first thing the pinkette had noticed was her odd uniform. Ignoring all but one required piece of the outfit, the girl's clothes were very fashionable and main-stream while wearing the school's coat.

"Oh, I'm Mīami Tooru. Nice to meet you." 'Miami' said, whispering. "I major in designing and making clothes."

Lips in a tight line, the cherry-haired, aquamarine-eyed 15 year-old nodded her head in recognition before saying, "I'm Sakurai Shirogane... I major in piano.."

When Mīami's eyes widened, Sakurai took it as a sign to immediately get up and run but since class had already begun, she stayed glued to her seat.

"You're the Virtuoso Princess from Music Room 7 that was playing this morning? Wow, you're so cool!" The brunette whisper-shouted, catching the attention of the Monochrome Prince 1 seat away from her.

"Uh.. yes.. but I don't exactly enjoy the nickname. Please refrain from using it if you can and call me Sakurai." The pinkette said softly, keeping her eyes on her teacher but occasionally taking a peek at her seat mate.

Suddenly, the call of her name caught Sakurai's attention. "Miss Shirogane?" Sakurai's red-headed teacher, Reena Tsukio, called.

Heads began to swerve towards the cherry-haired teenager as she stood up from her seat. Ms. Tsukio grinned once she spotted the pianist before looking back at her clipboard and saying, "Mister Tsukushi?"

The mauve-haired boy beside Sakurai stood up as well, with an indifferent, yet curious expression.

Ms. Tsukio smiled at the two before saying in a loud, prideful voice, "Congratulations, Monochrome Prince and Virtuoso Princess, you two have been picked to be on the committee responsible for making the Hoshinomori Summer Festival Fiesta possible! The first meeting is after school in the Planning Room, southwest of the main school building."

Sakurai and Tsukushi looked at each other, then back at their teacher, then back at each other, and thought simultaneously, 'There's no way I'm doing this!'
