Personality:
Yumi kamiyama is Hothead, Stubborn, Timid, Brash. She has a sharp tongue when she is mad or new people. She can be affectionate, kind, and level headed toward her mother and her friends who will protect her from those who harm her or twin sister and she is very shy toward new classmates. She very protective of her right wrist because she wears her juzu beads which if it's removed from her, the cat's true form revealed and fears someone she loves to see her "hideous" side of her curse which breaks her heart and feels disgusted to herself. She loves EDM music and Alternative rock music so much that she dances by herself in her room. She loves martial arts with passion and wanna someone fight her and she will fight as she likes. She can be a prankster and also trickster along with Akari since they love pranking people in their families and their friends. She is Short-tempered and gets embarrassed easily if she sees or heard boys with six-pack well build chest (which she gets nosebleed and blushes)

Good habit: She also good at drawing and singing without knowing she was singing out loud.

Past:
Yumi Kamiyama was born with her older twin sister, Rumi. She is the cat of the zodiac, an outcast of the family but she doesn't mind or care as long she follows the family tradition zodiac rules so she follows. Her mother, Kikyo is a Martial arts teacher and loves her twin daughters so much and her father holds Yumi which turns her into Baby Kitten and causes her Father disgust and insults Yumi and Rumi for been cursed children of Kamiyama family and never told them that they are dead to him. Kikyo ends up being a lookout for her twin daughters for any bullies from grades school and always check Yumi if she still wears her juzu beads at all cost.
When She and Rumi were 9 years old, She saw her father sneaking out at nighttime when her mother sleeping or cooking, she told her mom that she sees her dad going out everything and she saw lipstick marks on her dad shirt, she told her mom about it and admit that she was scared that she doesn't want her mom to hate her, But Kikyo hugs Yumi and told her to thank her for being honest and truthful. She told her mom that dad's lover threatens to sell Rumi to prostitution which causes Kikyo anger and decides to filed divorce quietly without her father knowing what her mom is doing.
At the same night her father brought his lover to their home, Yumi and Rumi hear noise from down stair and see their father doing perverse with his lover which triggers yumi rage of anger so much that she bit her father lover hand which cause a chain of an event of Yumi bracelet to remove and turn into her cat true form and attack her father lover which she almost kills her with her big sharp claws and teeth, leaving her bite marks and claw marks After seeing what she has done, Yumi ran to her room hiding in her "hideous" form in tears. Her mother found her and hug her daughter saying "it is ok honey, everything going to be okay, you did the right thing", yumi turn back to her cat form again from the exhaustion of her true form energy. she put her daughter bracelet back on and head to the hospital to check on yumi injury. Her mother got full custody of her and her twin sister, their father left in anger and revealed their (twin sisters) are dead to him from the day they were born, left in anger, and told them he will be back for the money. As yumi gets older she gets into fights at her school as a result of suspensions. Her mother introduced her skateboard world and she loves to skate when it helps her clear her mind. When she was 13 years old, she finds out someone kidnaps her twin sister and found her with the stalker who trying to rape her twin sister. She and Akari (12 years old) got very angry and end up beating the stalker up to point went to the hospital of broken bones and concussion which causes Yumi and Akari suspensions from school. She and her sister move out from NYC to Tokyo, Japan to stay with their cousin Mai kamiyama, The dog zodiac, at her home and their mother stay at Kamiyama Estate with her martial art class and their home. When Yumi was 14 years old, she sees an injured orange cat, she got concerned because due to her cat spirit, she has felines following her when she is uncomfortable and nervous, she was heartbroken about this unknown cat and she took a mysterious cat with her to her home and heal it so when it wakes up she gives the cat some milk since she also drinks milk since she herself is a feline too and she told herself that is weird to see an orange cat but why this one is different the others cat because she never see orange fur but this one is bright orange and  she always gets encountered and she felt heartbeat to see this one bruised on his left cheek. Unaware the cat is awoken, she too panics out like a cat does when she saw it opens its eyes, she hides in the blanket and feels the paw pet on her head when she looks at it and stunned that the cat had intimidating look at her but she did same so she feels this intimidating glares like a threat and means looks. Yumi wanna test this cat to see if it act like a human so she sticks her tongue out and make a bleh sound, replies "Mr. Cat are you going to hiss me or you that stupid to make a move on me". This makes the cat angry and finally speaks up " do I look stupid to you" this causes yumi to stunned and scream, she so embarrassed which result yumi turns into a cat. The orange cat stunned and meets a yellow cat in front of him. Yumi was happy no one saw her transform but she looks at the cat and it stares at her which caused her blush with shy meow sound at him. She look away embarrassed and ask "are you normal cat or human". Which the cat replies " I'm human and you" " i'm human and this is why I don't like boys get near me or hug me". The transformation timing went thin, The orange cat and her turn back human form and she look at the spot where is the orange cat is and sees boy same age as her but he has orange hair and orange eyes, she does find him handsome but they face turn red but once they realize they both are naked and she saw he is good looking with well build chest and she got nosebleed which the boy sweatdrop at her and told him shyly "put some clothes on" and he said the same thing to her. She went fast to take her juzu bracelet and put it on quickly and notice another juzu bracelet on the boy's left wrist and now she finds out he is also cursed with the cat spirit like her. She ends up asking how did he get a bruise on his cheeks, he says got into a fight at school and she ends up said: "Welcome to my world of fighting". She decides to get her food which is salmon riceball (Terry made it for her when she gets home) and gave one to the boy. She looks at his appearance but she observes him: Orange hair, orange eyes and he is the same age as her and she can clearly see his cat fangs and she ends up touching her teeth if she does have one but she found out she has cat fangs too. She remembers that she did bit her father's lover hand with her cat fangs, she got panic and said about vampire's teeth in her mouth, but she always covers her mouth every time she looks at the mirror. She told the boy about martial arts and he ends up tellings her, his master and she told him her mother is a martial art teacher and she spoke to her dear friend, Kazuma Sohma and she taught her martial arts, she told the boy her name " I'm yumi, that is my name and yours" and the boy told her his name "Kyo Sohma" she said she finds his name pretty badass since he came and her name is girlie which she gets irritated about it but she laughs at it. Yumi and Kyo talk about martial arts who is better him or her, which she gladly accepts challenges and never back down, they told each other about their past which yumi told him about the incidents with her father's lover, her dad dislike her the most since her father said to her that she is dead to him along with her twin sisters and she was a burden to him, Kyo told her about his estranged father blames him and his mother death which yumi sad about it because she wanna someone to love her for her curse but she was heartbroken but her mom loves her and she is truthful about she scared her daughter cats second form but she told her that she and her mother going to fight this and never back down without a fight, she told kyo she get disgusted about her other form because she almost kills her father's lover, this leads her to think no one in this world loved her which this conversation lead her broke down in tears, that is why she afraid of people touching her right wrist. she got a hug from Kyo because he also told her that he also has the second form and he was treated horribly and discrimination, disrespect by his family, she was surprised and mad about this info from him and in her mind she finds it this boy had been alone his whole life since he was born and treated harshly. but she instead tells him that she wanna have sparred (martial art fight) with him someday which he smiles and he accepts that challenge someday. She ends up touching his left wrist and said "so...your bracelet is on your left side and mine on the right side this is weird but interesting". She saw outside it is getting dark out and She ended up leading the boy to the outside of her home so he can go back home and she told him "don't tell anyone about what happened at my house about Kamiyama family secret and I will never tell anyone about Sohma family secret" he nods and before he starts to walks away. Yumi told him to wait and she ends up kissing him on the cheeks, which kyo faces blushes and told her "what was that about" and yumi tells him for cheering her up about her bad past and thank him for listening to her and she will be his friend which he was stunned about her saying that to him and he left to head home. Yumi ends up wanna know that preteen boy she saw and but she did find him handsome. Someday she will meet him again but didn't know fate give her the opportunity to meet her friend who later going to be her love interest and best friend.
