Richey's P.O.V.

We celebrated my homecoming all day, and half the night. Soon we were all exhausted.

The other fell asleep quickly, leaving just me, staring out of the window as I always did, scanning the streets. It was quite late, and there was only a few people milling around below.

I could easily slip out unnoticed.

I crept into Nicky's room. He lay on his bed, fast asleep. I hesitated next to the bed, before placing my hand softly on his shoulder. He didn't move.

"I can't stay here, Nicky," I whispered. "I have to go. But I will come back again, one day."

And with that, I swiftly slipped outside, leaving nothing but a trace.

"Someday I will return," I whispered to myself. "No matter how much it hurts."

Ha bet you didn't see that coming, because I didn't!!! I just wrote this on a whim!!!!

Like I said, I stole-- I mean borrowed the 'Richey returns' plotline from a fanfic from like 15 years ago. But no one but me read that fanfic so it's fine, I think.

Ok this book really is finished now :))
