Summary

One week until Ash Ketchum gets to begin his Pokemon Journey. Pallet Town is eager to celebrate their four newest trainers and their first step out into the world. Ash has been waiting very patiently, okay maybe not that patiently, to start his journey towards being a Pokémon Master.

Except life had other ideas.

His mother Delia's cooking skills are well known in the cooking world. When a retiring restauranteur in Twinleaf Town, Sinnoh offers her the chance to takeover for him, Delia accepts immediately. It was the final step of her dream but how does it affect Ash's road to his?

Professor Oak offered Ash a place to stay for a week but he knows that he shouldn't take away his mother's moment of seeing him off on day one.

Everything Ash imagined about how his journey would work out is now out the window. But he knows that he'll catch them all wherever he goes...

Plot

Ash and Delia get settled in Twinleaf Town before Ash gets to set off. Having no knowledge on Sinnoh and what creatures roam through the region, his mom suggests he finds out who the regional Professor is.

Ash makes the quick journey to Sandgen Town to meet Professor Rowan. Ash ends up meeting Dawn Berlitz who is leaving for her journey the same day as Ash.

They spend the last few days together trying to learn as much as they can. And before the leave they make the same pledge to Professor Rowan: "We're going to catch them all!"
