So, when Hazel was 13, her parents started arguing. Since her mom lost her job, they have low money, and her dad became an alcoholic. She learned that she was actually adopted and doesn't talk to them anymore, during that, she thought of either suicide, drinking or taking some pills that will hopefully end her miserable life. But that time was when she had Toby as a best friend, he would stop Hazel from her negative thoughts and try to cheer her up the best way possible. Hazel couldn't take it anymore one night after a good dream, the time she woke up.. she realized that she would be better off in another world.. and she took out a knife.
