YAY, I finally got this one done.

Sophie was done with all of this. She got out her imparter and called Amy.

"Hey Sophie!" Amy called out to her.

"Hey Amy!" Sophie waved to her sister. "It's been so long since I have seen you!"

"I know right?" Amy said. "So, why'd you call?"

"You know Keefe left me right? So yeah, none of my friends are helping me look for him. They say it's not safe. The black swan just keeps waiting and waiting. For what? Nothing is going to happen by waiting!" Sophie sighed.

"I can't keep waiting for them, I am done. I am going to look for Keefe even if nobody helps me!" Sophie said.

"Sophie, it's okay." Amy said. "I don't think it is a good idea."

"I have to Amy. I have to find him. Please let me do it! What other chance do I have!" Sophie argued.

"No, Sophie. You should stay there and listen to me." Amy replied.

"Don't go looking for him alone. It isn't safe, Sophie. Listen to me. Please." Amy continued.

"I don't know Amy, is he ever going to come back?" Sophie asked her.

"He will for you, Sophie. Just wait." Amy told her.

"Bye!" Sophie said. "I am coming to your house tomorrow morning and you are helping me find Keefe. Don't stop me!"

"Okay then, see you tomorrow." Amy said, waving goodbye.

Sophie waved goodbye. She buried her face in her pillow and with Ella she fell asleep.

                                                                                . . .

The next morning Sophie quickly woke up.

"Good Morning, Miss Foster!" Sandor said as she woke up.

"Oh, good morning." Sophie replied.

Good thing Sandor didn't hear her conversation with Amy. Great thing was that nobody heard her! Sophie put on some comfy clothes. When Sandor wasn't looking she packed herself a quick bag. She put a few pairs of human clothes, Ella, a journal, some mallowmelt, and her imparter in the bag. When Sandor was looking at her she acted like she was doing her hair, then when he wasn't looking she quickly ran outside and teleported to the human world.

She rang the doorbell of her sister's house. She heard her sister talking to someone called Keesha. She waited and waited. Finally, her sister opened the door.

"Amy!" Sophie hugged her sister. "Are your parents home?"

"No, but you should've asked before you came, not after you came here dummy!" Amy laughed, shoving Sophie.

"Oops!" Sophie said, shoving Amy back. "Amy, can you please help me find Keefe."

"Ummm, sure." Amy mumbled. "Wait, did you eat anything before you got here?"

"Not really, I just had a piece of mallowment." Sophie told her.

"Ok then, let's make a deal. You give me mallowmelt and i'll give you some of my amazing pancakes." Amy made a deal.

"Ah, mallowmelt. My best friend!" Amy ate the whole piece in one bite.

"Here are your pancakes." Amy said proudly, handing Sophie a plate.

"Okay, while we are eating we can talk." Amy told her.

Sophie quickly finished eating. "You can pretend to give me a tour of the house like when we were little and then we can make a plan."

"Great idea!" Amy said sarcastically.

Sophie didn't seem to notice. "K, come on."

Sophie dragged Amy.

"No need to drag me, I can walk." Amy told her.

"I know you can walk." Sophie told her annoying little sis.

"This is our parents bedroom, this is the kitchen, this is my room, this is the bathroom, this is the pool, this is. ." Amy stopped.

"What is this room for?" Sphie asked her sister.

"Ummm, okay. I know this will sound weird but believe me it is true. So there was a rat in the house and so we called a rat catcher. The rat catcher is staying in that room." Amy told her.

"Oh, okay." Sophie said. Weird. Why would there be a rat catcher in the house staying here if he was just here to catch the rat. This was too confusing for her brain.

"Soph, you can go into the bathroom and take a shower. I will get us some lunch. Take your time." Amy told her.

"Okay" Sophie said, grabbing her bag. She went in to take a nice long shower. Ah, it was so nice to take a shower. After all, she was here to find Keefe. He had the nerve to leave her again. Suddenly, she heard some voices. Who was it? What were they doing here? Sophie panicked.

She kept the shower running and put on dry clothes. She opened the door quietly. She crept out and saw Amy quietly talking to a boy with blonde hair, ice blue eyes, and a playful smirk.

He was right there. Right there. In front of her eyes. She turned her head and saw the door to the "rat catchers" room was open. Keefe was in there the whole time! How could she be that dumb to believe Amy.

"Amy, What if she. . ." Keefe said something that she couldn't hear.

Sophie still couldn't believe who was in front of her. She tiptoed towards them as best as she could but her clumsy feet still made noise.

Amy and Keefe jumped.

"Oh" Amy looked down.

"Sophie," Keefe said.

Sophie ignored him, "Amy, why did you lie to me?"

"I. . .um, Sophie. I'm sorry." Amy whispered.

"It was me, blame me, not her. I told her not to tell you." Keefe told her.

"I don't care, you could have told me!" she yelled angrily.

She turned to Keefe, "Why did you run away?"

"I had to Foster, I had to. To keep you safe." Keefe whispered, looking away.

"I'm never safe, okay! The Neverseen will always come after me. Stop Keefe! Just Stop!" Sophie shouted at him.

Sophie walked over and turned Keefe's head, "Keefe, look at me" She waited. "I know you think you are the problem for everything and I don't blame you, okay. I feel like that sometimes, okay maybe all the time. But I just want you to know that I'm here for you and please don't go away and hide."

"Everything is my fault, I'm never ever coming back. Even for you, Foster." Keefe said plainly.

"KEEFE!" Sophie shouted.

"I'm not coming back." Keefe said, as he turned to face the other direction.

"Keefe, I need you." Sophie whispered. "My- my parents aren't even there."

"What?" Keefe gasped and turned around.

"She took them."

"Who?" At Sophie's blank stare his eyes widened. "It's all my fault."

"If you come back then we can do this together!" Sophie said.

"I can't," Keefe whispered.

"You can. I don't care about any dumb new ability, just just-" Sophie's voice broke.

Keefe shook his head, "You have no idea about my new ability."

"Dex told me."

"Dex," Keefe mumbled. "Fine."

Sophie's eyes slowly widened. "Really?"

"For you." Keefe said.

"You shouldn't have left in the first place." Sophie remarked. Once she knew for sure that Keefe was returning to the Lost Cities with her.

"I'm sorry Sophie, I'm sorry. I really am." Keefe told her, turning his head, ashamed. "But everything was my fault."

She shook her head slowly. She looked at him and saw the scared boy underneath all of the jokes and playfulness. She was angry but she had to forgive him. The way he looked after his mom gave him the new ability. Sophie knew how it felt. But it still didn't count as a reason he could run away.

"Keefe, don't ever do that again!" she shouted at him.

"I know, Foster. No need to yell." Keefe said, a small scared smirk returned.

"Keefe, I. . . ." Sophie started.

"No pep talks, Foster. I know you care about the Keefester but. . .  " Keefe said.

Sophie interrupted him, "Keefe, just promise me okay. You are never going to run away from us. Promise me, Keefe."

"Okay, okay Foster." Keefe replied. "It's good to know that someone cares."

Sophie rolled her eyes and had to stop her mouth from smiling.

"Oh, and don't go shaking your little head at me." Keefe said.

Sophie blushed and hid behind her hair. 'At least Keefe was back right?'

"Ok, sorry to interrupt the SoKeefe moment but I am still here." Amy grinned.

Sophie didn't want to know about what Amy meant.

"Well, I guess you guys are leaving then. . ." Amy's smile vanished.

"Yeah." Keefe muttered.

"Amy, you know it's not safe for us to be here any longer. We'll come back okay? Promise." Sophie said.

"Okay, come back to visit." Amy said. "And don't forget mallowmelt when you come back."

Sophie smiled happily but her smile turned into tears. "My parents-"

Keefe waved as she pulled out her crystal and grabbed Keefe's hand. "Bye, Amy!"

Amy waved as they left. Her world would return to normal once the elves left. But Sophie had to deal with so much in the lost cities. Sometimes she wondered how it would have been like if Fitz hadn't found her.

"Where were you and why is that boy with you?" a voice shouted interupting her thoughts.
