DESCRIPTION

Esme dreads Christmas due to her loneliness after losing her family. While everyone else celebrates, she feels isolated and unseen. Her best friend Noah decides this year will be different and plans to make her Christmas special, hoping to lift her spirits and maybe even get a kiss under the mistletoe.

SUMMARY

Christmas. It was a day that most people looked forward to. A time of family, giving, and togetherness. People would get off work early to get a jump on shopping, while others would stay late and make that extra buck. The days were getting shorter and the weather was getting colder. It was a time for scarves and mittens and sweaters and hot chocolate. It was a magical time. For most people. Not for Esme. It wasn't the snow or the cold she disliked so much. It wasn't even the crowded streets and the long lines at the stores. It was all those things combined.

It's not like Esme was a Grinch. She didn't hate Christmas or anything like that. It was the one time of the year when she dreaded being alive. It's not like she was alone by choice. She'd love nothing more than to have a big, loving family like the rest of the world seemed to have. But her family was taken from her, and with no other living relatives, it was a lonely life for her. The worst part was the constant reminder that everyone else had someone to share the holiday with, and she was all alone. It was bad enough going out and seeing all the happy couples at the mall, holding hands and kissing, or just being happy together. Esme didn't need the constant reminder.

The other worst part was that she was alone in her loneliness. No one understood how she felt, not really. They tried, but they couldn't possibly understand. So she did what she always did. She faked it, and pretended like everything was fine. She put on a smile and played the part, pretending to enjoy the holiday. This year, however, Noah Lalonde had other ideas. Noah was her best friend, has been since they were babies. He was her rock, the one person she could count on no matter what. And this year, he was determined to make sure she had a good Christmas. He knew how much she hated the holiday, and he was going to do everything he could to make sure she had a good one. 

Maybe even get a kiss under the mistletoe if he's lucky.

NOTES

-this ties along with my cole walter fic, esme's character in the show is hollyn 

-you can change her last name, but not her first name!!

-you can decide if this show is esme's big break in acting or not. like if you want her to already be an actor & be in the shows/movies her fc is in then you can, its up to you!

-you can continue on with the fic after christmas is over if you want, its up to you! i think it'd be cool to see that happen & see more of their story, but i'll let you decide that!

-her parents have died & she is an only child though you can decide how her parents have passed

-you can decide her account names for social media, decide what social media she has & all that stuff
