TW: Fearplay, if easily frightened don't read

Y/N's POV:

Upon my arrival in Liyue on the back of a cart from Mondstadt, peering around at the road behind me, I had snuck a ride upon a cart of hay, after hearing that a certain Snezhnayan was in Liyue who I had met as a kid while my family stayed in Snezhnaya becoming close friends. It hadn't taken long for word to reach to me of his promotion to Harbinger so wished to find my old friend.

Once the cart passed by Baiju Guesthouse I hoped off of it and hid by the door way, slipping inside once no one was looking. Since I had heard he was stayinh here, I tried peaking into each of the rooms to see which he was in, keeping light footwork so ro not draw attention from the lady at the front desk, stumbling across a room in mostly complete darkness. Seeming suspicious, I crept inside, with steady movements so not to startle the possible person inside.

Not a creak came in the room, lacking signs of immediate life, lowering my guard at the wrong moment before I felt my ankle pinched between 2 finger tips, dragging me upside down by my leg, bag slipping off landing with a slight thud on the ground, breathing becoming rapid, noticing the blue lifeless hues staring at me from out of the darkness.

"Oh so a weak tiny thought they could sneak in and take from me"

Ajax's familiar voice spoke with a dark chuckle, understandably unable to recognise me since it was dark.

"Childe wait-"

"Oh so you know my name buddy/ girlie, tsk perhaps send by the Qixing, perhaps I should send them a message by killing you"

(Fearplay incoming)

Before I could utter any more works the pressure was released and I fell down with a squeak, landing on something quite squishy and wet, gurgles issuing from behind me making my blood grow cold and pupils shrink. This was his tongue, I was in his mouth. Oh archons.

"WAIT-"

Thrown around and pressed against the inner cheek of his mouth, being tasted by his tongue I began to grow scared, needing to find a way for him to listen to me, drenched through by his salvia, fearing for my life until my stomach dropped once I felt myself be moved towards the back of his mouth.

"AJAX DAMN IT LISTEN TO ME FOR ONCE"

My words seeming to shock him as I felt myself thrown out of his mouth into the blinding light, landing on his hand, coughing slightly, clutching my chest.

"Reminds me of the first time we met"

I stated amongst my splutters and coughs.

"Y/N!! Oh gods! I didn't realise it was you!"

Pressed against warm skin, he held me in his hands, hugging me against his cheek, possibly as a method of apologising.

"Nice to see you too, heard you were in Liyue"

Moved away from his cheek, using his jacket to clean the salvia off of me while looking at me, clearly worried that he had hurt me or scared me, which of course he had.

"I'm sorry I didn't realise it was you, I have been on edge since some stuff happened realise. Please forgive me my friend"

Returning to press me against his chest in a hug, I leant against him with a soft sigh.

"It's fine, reminds me of how we first met when saving me from that bore. I'm just a little shaken up"

I reassured him, noticing his concern and regret, finding solace in his reaction now, both of us seeming to have calmed down, his digits carefully stroking my back.

"I had missed you. It's been many years since I saw you last, since just before my recruitment as a Harbinger"

He sighed before continuing.

"I hope we are able to catch up, and move on from that... accident"

"Yeah of course."
