I sat on my bed sadly. She'll never love you, I told myself.

Okay, fine, let's back it up a bit.

I sighed as she crossed my mind once more. I loved her. I really did. But she was straight. I was scared to tell anyone in fear they will hate me. Being lesbian was so hard, especially when no one knew. And now I had fallen in love with my straight best friend.

I decided to text her.

"Hey, you there?"

"Yeah. What's up?"

"Nothing much. You?"

"Just obsessing over Zack again."

Ah, Zack. This was how I knew she was straight. She never had said anything about it, but I knew because she had a crush on this boy named Zack. He has curly black hair, chocolate brown eyes, and very good grades.

"Oh. So, you free this weekend?"

"No, I cost a couple bucks."

"Darn! I only have hens!"

"Haha. Very funny. Meet me at the tree in front of the school on Friday."

"See ya then!"

"Bye! ❤❤❤"

I sighed. Even when she didn't know I loved her, she knew how to make my heart flutter. I sat back and let my long brown hair fall everywhere. I closed my green eyes and fell asleep.

In my dream, I was in a dark room. Then someone turned the lights on and I looked around the lit up room. There was a dark walnut desk and a black folding chair with a blood red cushion placed on it. The rest of the room had fancy furniture that was made of what looked like ebony wood.

I noticed that there was a white folding chair in front of the desk. I felt almost blinded after looking at the dark room. I decided I would sit down.

I sat in the chair and waited for something to happen. The dark clock on the wall made me feel like I was being hypnotized. Tick, tick, tick.

After a while, I panicked. I rushed over to the door and twisted the doorknob from side to side, testing it. No luck. I slammed my hand on the door and kicked it. Solid as rock.

I walked over to the white chair and sighed. I guess I would sit here, being slowly driven insane by the dark environment and the tick, tick, tick of the clock on the wall.

Suddenly the door flung open, and a shadowy figure stepped through the dark doorway. . . .

I jumped out of bed, breathing quickly as my heart beat faster than when I had fallen asleep. Let's face it, that dream had scared the living daylights out of me.

I sighed, trying to steady my breathing. I climbed back into bed and fell asleep once more.
