I stared down at the patch of grass and watched as the guys crouched on their knees reading the tents instructions.

Phoenix squinted as he read the small print on the instructions, "alright so Enzo grab that peg thingy."

Thingy?

Guess I wasn't the only one who didn't go camping often, I giggled as Sebastian threw his head into his hands.

"Dude it's called stakes or tent pegs and you tie it to the guy ropes," Sebastian pointed towards the rope.

"Yeah peg thingy that's basically what I said," Phoenix shrugged and continued ordering Enzo around.

Quickly, I grabbed onto the corner of the tent making myself look as busy as possible so they thought I was helping.

I wasn't.

"Are you going to help me connect the tent poles or what princess?" Enzo grunted as he pushed himself off the tarp.

I rolled my eyes, "don't call me princess," I sang.

"Don't ignore my question," he sang back mockingly. I'd only been here for a few minutes and I was already planning on how to murder Enzo.

Maybe I could throw him into the river, no, that wasn't going to work he was too heavy for me to lift. Next!

Tugging at the corner of the tent I raised my eyebrows at him, "as you can clearly see I'm quite busy but thank you for the offer." I grinned as he turned his back towards me in a huff.

Sebastian trudged towards me with the poles in his hands, "insert the tent poles into the corresponding flaps would you?"

Ew effort.

Despite that I was insanely lazy I nodded and began pushing the pole through the hole in the tent.

"That's turning me on in a weird way," Phoenix tilted his head as he watched me thread the pole through the tent.

I bit my lip and spun myself around, "don't be so dirty minded!" I throw the rest of the poles at his face, he laughs as he catches them mid air.

"Did you know that rude and violent thoughts are more easily memorable and can be used to help recall information." Phoenix states nonchalantly and fold his arms across his chest, "i.e. Next time I'll remember how to put up a tent."

I blink a few times before licking my lips hoping a smart-ass comeback would flood out of my mouth and smack him across his good looking face. But I've got nothing... I'm completely and utterly speechless.

But before Phoenix had the chance to smirk at me or worse hit me with another fact, Enzo slides between us.

"Listen here flower petal," Enzo looks at Phoenix with a dangerous pointed finger. "We have only got one tent between the four of us. One! So you and my princess over here will be sleeping on opposite sides of the tent because I really don't feel like being the cheese in your sex sandwich tonight." He warns us with a half smirked half serious face.

"And I'm not being the bloody ham either!" Sebastian yells from inside the flat tent, I giggle at the thought of our tent talking.

Phoenix squats down and helps Sebastian raise the tent, his cheeks coloured ever so slightly in red. He's embarrassed.

"Enzo please can you do us all a favour and shut your mouth before I have to shut it for you," I warn with a glint in my eyes.

"Well that's an offer I can't turn down," he says with a smirk playing on his lips.

My lips began to move but before I had the chance to shout at him a green camper van beeps at us, my eyebrows shoot up.

"Bloody hell," Sebastian pops his head out of the tent, a wide grin spreads across his face when he sees the van.

Two girls around our age jump out of the van, the first girl had a smile on her face. As her brown eyes seemed to gleam across the filed, she had a beam of joy dashing inside of her. She took a finger and brushed her brunette coloured hair aside, as she walked. The bright red lipstick on her lips matched the red jacket she wore.

Beside her walked a redhead. Her hair reminded me of the burnt orange sunset over the beach, it was warm and it tumbled over her shoulders like rusty water.

And who said gingers weren't pretty?!

The guys rushed over to welcome and hug the girls, I watched as Enzo played with the redheads girls hair. Sebastian and Phoenix crowded around the first girl, she was laughing.  They had literally been here for point of a second and they were already all over them. I huffed at this and watched the three idiots with a glare.

"Oi princess come over here and introduce yourself!" Enzo yelled and motioned for me to come closer, I rolled my eyes. If he calls me princess one more time I was going to loose my mind.

The girls smile at me, I smile back. "This is my cousin Sarah," Enzo slings his arm around the brunettes shoulder with a grin. "And before you ask no this is not Kim Possible she just looks like her," he chuckles as the redhead slaps his chest, "this is Jennifer my cousins friend."

I hug the girls, "I'm Andy it's nice to meet you guys."

"We've heard so much about you Andy it's so nice to finally meet you." Sarah smiled and I blush. What exactly had they heard about me?

Dear God I know I don't pray often enough and I haven't been going to church with my grandma but pleaseeeee can they not know what I did!

"I feel so sorry for you that you ended up being roommates with these idiots," Jennifer chuckles and I sigh with relief. So that's what they've heard. Thank you God.

I giggle, "you guys are so nice why do you hang out with these morons?" The girls laugh and I smile finally happy I made female friends.

My first attempt with 'you-know-who' (no not Voldemort I mean Emma) didn't go so well.

"Being blood related to Enzo means I'm stuck with him," Sarah shrugged, Enzo glared at her.

Sebastian scoffed at her, "can you guys stop roasting us and start roasting marshmallows instead."

We all nodded.

A fire crackled in the corner of the campsite, projecting long shadows on the surrounding area. The light cast by the flames danced across the dark trunks of the trees, twisting and curling in obscure shapes and providing a small radius of light. The fire itself was pulsating, the glowing embers seemed to move in rhythm with the flames, matching every dip and sweep. It was mesmerizing to watch, colours of orange and red gave way to yellow and white near the centre, where the emanating heat was the greatest.

My stomach groaned as it tried to digest the one too many marshmallows I had moments ago stuffed down my throat.

What can I say I love food.

Enzo licked the remains of the marshmallow off his stick,"Sarah how's Mike doing?" He threw the stick into the fire and snuggled up against his blanket.

Sarah rolled her eyes, "Mike is no more."

"He died?!" Sebastian's eyes widened, she laughed.

"No she means she dumped his cheating ass, proud of you girl!" Jennifer howled and swigged her beer, we laughed. These redheads are indeed feisty.

Sebastian raised his eyebrows, "he cheated on you? But...but you're amazing. Why would anyone cheat on you?" Sarah smiled at him, he smiled back.

Phoenix groaned loudly and threw a bag of popcorn at him, "get a room Romeo!" Enzo and him laughed but Sebastian was too busy blushing to laugh.

"Yeah bro stop flirting with my cousin, gross!" Enzo shook his head not looking at Sarah's death stares.

"Enzo you look tired don't you think it's time you go beddy-bye." Jennifer chimed in for Sarah, I giggled.

"Yeah Enzo you look tired," the girls laughed and I winked at them which only made them laugh even more.

Phoenix rubbed his hands together over the fire, "can you guys stop bullying Enzo or I might have to call child line." We laughed but Enzo didn't look too amused.

"I'm freezing my balls off, I'm going to the tent." Enzo huffed, "night losers." With that he disappeared into our dishevelled tent.

Sebastian rolled his eyes, "I better go as well you should never leave a baby unattended." He chuckled and went after him.

The girls looked at each other and nodded, "yeah we're going to sleep now as well, night guys." They got up and walked back to their camper van.

Phoenix looked at me, "time for bed?" I nodded and together we entered our tent. The ropes should have been tighter but it didn't matter too much since we were leaving tomorrow anyways.

I slid into my sleeping bag which was between Sebastian and Enzo, they weren't playing around when they said Phoenix and I weren't going to be sleeping next to each other.

I stared at the roof of the tent and watched as the wind blew it around slightly. My eyes slowly began to shut and my body was moulded into the air bed.

But before I could fall into a deep sleep a putrid smell of unpassed faeces permeates the air of the tent.

My eyes shoot open and I pinch my nose, "omg! Who farted?" With my spare hand I waft away the air around my face.

The guys all laugh and I gag a little, "wasn't me I swear." Phoenix chuckles and sits up right against the tent.

"That's disgusting!" My eyes begin to water and I try to hold my breath, but that only leads to me having to take deeper breaths after.

"Told you we shouldn't have had beans for tea," Sebastian mutters but continues to keep his eyes shut and his hands underneath his head like a pillow.

I grimace at him poking his chest with my finger, "it was you?" I whine and try to hold my breath for as long as I could.

He gave me a bored look, "no," he drawled, "a smell this bad could only have come out of Enzo." Sebastian shakes his head unimpressed but still laughs.

Why do boys find farts so funny?!

Enzo groans as he turns over on the air mattress, "shut up dude it wasn't me!"

I was stuck in a tent and it was blowing a gale outside so we are trapped in it's brain-numbing disgustingness.

"Who ever smelt it dealt it," Enzo states and the guys laugh like it was the funniest thing in the world, I roll my eyes.

I sit in the full knowledge that the air passing up my nostrils has come from one of these guys' anus. Because I know for a fact it wasn't me. I gag. I'm trapped in the vile aroma of sewage. Their sewage.

I pinch my nose harder, "you think this grossness came out of me?!" I said it slowly to let their pea brains process this.

They only laugh which aggravates me even more. I can't take it anymore, I open the zip and let the wind in. The guys howl at me and I stare back defiantly. I'd rather take the cold than that horrendous stench.

There were many reasons why living with three guys was a bad idea, this was one of the many reasons. Guys were pigs.

I sprint out of the tent and sit down next to the ashy campfire, I let the air enter my body. Ahhhh fresh air.

When I open my eyes Phoenix is laughing silently to himself, he walks over to me and hands me a blanket.

"I thought since you were going to be outside I might as well join you." He smiled as he patted the blanket over us, I snuggled up against his shoulder.

We lay under the stars, which were like a beautiful, surreal blanket above our heads. "Man I love the stars, they're so beautiful."

Phoenix turned my head with his fingers, "I love you, you're so beautiful." He whispered and pressed his lips against mine.
