You know when you have simple things in life that makes everything better?

Like loving Pearl for example.

I never considered love as a blessing, but with her, I feel like loving her is my life.

"So how was your day?" I asked her, my eyes unconditionally scanning her beautiful face and red lips as she sipped on her coffee.

"Boring," she snickered. "Like always, but I did get an extra tip."

"Oh, really?"

"Yeah, some random guy left it."

"We don't need it, Pearl," I frowned, staring at the steaming cup of coffee. "I told you we don't."

"I needed it."

"For?"

"Your birthday present," she smiled. "I can't not bring something."

"It's not important--"

She shook her head, "It is, you mean the world to me, Hunter."

I kissed her.

"And you mean the galaxy to me, Pearl."

"I know," she giggled and I trapped her with my arms. She squirmed, trying to get me to leave her.

"It's sad, you know," she said suddenly, her head resting on my shoulder. "How much we work to afford simple things while other people have whatever they want on a golden plate. They don't clean tables and serve croissants to people every morning. Life isn't fair sometimes, Hunter, and I hate that."

I tilted her head to face me and I could almost see a tear trying to escape her eye. "Everyone gets what's written for them. You were written for me and I can't ask for more."

She shook her head, "I'm not enough, Hunt. What can I possibly do? I work the hell out of myself for the lowest amounts--"

Silencing  her with a tighter embrace made everything better.
