It's when we realize that things aren't going in the anticipated direction, that the trigger of panic is pulled and a bullet of nerves is fired through our skulls. Questions dealing with my personal life was not what I was asking for, yet they keep coming, and it takes so much to keep us with my constant lying. One mistake and my money won't be mine.

I looked over to Hannah as she smiled brightly to whatever her friend said.

She looked happy. And that was great.

"Let's take a picture," her friend, Autumn, called cheerfully, motioning with her arms for me to join them. I smiled, and approached them. I forced my arm around Hannah's waist and she rested her head against my shoulder. I smiled wider, and Hannah snuggled into me even more.

Autumn snapped the picture and I turned Hannah to face me, feeling Autumn's stare on me. On us. I planted a kiss on her cheek and whispered an "I love you" loud enough for Autumn to hear.

And she squealed right when she did, which caused Hannah to giggle and blush, and me, to complete acting normal.

"You two are goals."

I chuckled. I've heard that when I was with Pearl. When being in a relationship with someone is always picture-worthy, cause we're always smiling and we're always loving.

Faking my love to Hannah doesn't make me feel the same. Pearl is different. Pearl is better. I swear with everything I have that she is.

But I don't know what made me frown when I saw her picture flash on the screen of my vibrating phone, the fact that Hannah's face reformed to a cringe - if that's even possible - or that I saved Pearl on my contacts as Queen.
