So, both parties are aware-
'Yes, yes, I'm sure we all know the rules of this game. I get to beat up two imbeciles and take control of this body.' The Capan drawled, spinning a slim knife between his fingers as the god rolled his eyes.
As I was saying. No participants may be fatally injured, but abilities and powers are allowed. For the sake of your competitors, I must rule out using any kind of water as a weapon.
'Aw, where's the fun in that?'

'The fun part is not dying.' Brandon muttered, but the Capan just laughed and rolled it's eyes.
'Party pooper, much? Dying's great, especially while you're in another body. You get to experience dying, and still do stuff afterwards! Just a shame you're stuck for a few millennia'
'Do that with Rob, and I will personally hunt you down and incinerate you.' Preston snapped angrily. Yeah, Rob might be afraid of him now, but he was still his c...
His...
...Best friend.
Totally.

'Oh no, I feel so frightened - What if I possess you, huh?'
'I could finally kill myself and know it was for a half-decent cause. Can we get on with the battle, please?' Brandon cast a very concerned side glance at the former lava mob, not sensing any joke in the statement whatsoever. Even Entity seemed taken back by the comment, and hesitated for a few moments before speaking out again.
Uh, right. The battle between the Capan, Kogane, versus Preston and Brandon may commence.

Rob - No, the Capan - dived straight for Preston's legs, but he jumped to the side and nodded to his friend to do the same. With one hybrid on one side, one on the other, Preston then chucked his friend one end of a cord.
'Circle!' He called, running around the semi-confused wolf hybrid as the slime did the same. The idea was that they would tie him up, then get the Capan out via Entity and his magic, but of course it doesn't go to plan.

Using the same dagger from earlier, the Capan quickly managed to cut the thin ties around his legs and back-handspring - Rob definitely couldn't do that - before swinging one foot around into Brandon's side.
'Pete!'
"Oh fu-" He was knocked to the ground, the possessed boy giving a sadistic cheer as Jerome and Jarvey tried to hold Marina back from launching herself at the hybrid.
'Aw, did that hurt? Good thing I didn't go for your lungs Brandon.'
"What?"

Angered by what just happened, the fire user snarled and tackled the Capan away from his friend.
'Get out of Rob's body!'
'No way! This is hilarious. He can't even see what's going on, but he can hear. He can hear, that he's hurting his friends.'
'No, he's not - You are!'
'Oh, but am I not Robert? I'm currently in his body, so surely-' Within seconds the Capan had a fireball inches away from it face, and it was almost beginning to regret possessing such a close friend of someone so powerful.
'You are not Rob. You never will be, so get out if his body!'
'Okay, okay! I'm going.'

An emerald mist started floating out of the hybrid's airways, accumulating into a semi-solid ghost-type figure. It looks almost like a snake, but had jewels for eyes and it's clawish hands were floating around a foot away from it's body.
Geez, can you not take a joke?
'Not when you pretend to be my best friend. Heal Pete, and leave.'
Rude.

As the ghost drifted away towards the slime, Preston shuddered and diminished the fireball before climbing off of his friend.
'Rob, can you hear me?' He questioned softly, giving a quiet sigh of relief when he saw his eyelids flicker. 'C'mon bro, open your eyes.'

'What... Happened?'
'You got possessed by some weird ghost thing. We kinda had to fight you to get it out.'
The wolf hybrid pushed himself up, crossing his legs and looking at his hands nervously. 'I could hear you. I couldn't see, but I could - What have I done?'
'It wasn't you-'
'Preston, tell me what I did. Please.'
The former lava mob pursed his lips but nodded, recounting what the Capan had done as the sun passed overhead.

'-and yeah, that's about it.'
'Is Pete gonna be alright?'
'Pfft, he'll be fine. What about you, though??
'I mean, it's stupid, but I feel - The Capan could have done so much worse. It had access to all of my memories, it could have told you guys anything... I have a question though.'
Preston nodded in acknowledgment to his friend's statement, with said friend inhaling sharply and looking into his eyes.

'When it was in control, I heard it say something. You said that you would literally kill it, if it killed me.'
'Well duh.'
'Then you said that, if it possessed you, that you would "finally kill yourself for a half-decent cause.".' Oh yeah. He had admitted that. 'What did you mean?'
'Nothing important.'
'Well it is, if you're saying something like that.'
"Think Preston, think!" 'I- Uh, I was just trying to scare it... Yeah.' "You absolute legend you."

Rob narrowed his eyes, but didn't pursue it and just leaned against his friend tiredly. 'You don't have to do all of this.'
'But we are, so suck it. I don't know if you've realized, but we really do care about you.'
'I know, I know.' He spoke softly, 'I just wish that... Maybe, if I'd been strong enough, things like this wouldn't-'

'You are strong, Rob. Maybe you dont know how, but you are. It's not your fault that any of this happened, okay?' Preston sounded like he would fight anyone to say otherwise, while the wolf hybrid just stared at him and smiled.
"He's so sweet." 'Thanks Preston. You're awesome... Oh! Uh, what day is it?'

'Thursday.'
'...Damnit.'
'What's up?'
'Guess what I have tonight.' It took the former lava mob a few moments, but then he sighed and ran a hand through his hair. 'Full moon, right?'

The wolf hybrid just nodded, before groaning loudly and flattening out on the grass. 'Everything's happening - Too much, is happening.'
'I know. I'm sorry-' Preston began.
'No! No, it isn't your fault. It's just... Ugh. I dunno how to explain it.'
'You don't have to. Just know that we're here for you, okay?'
'Yeah. Thanks.'

There was silence after that, but a comfortable one, Rob yawning slightly and watching the clouds. After a few moments, Preston laid down by his side, and the werewolf wriggled around with the result being Preston's chest now used as a pillow. '...You're warm.'
'Probably because of my ability.' Preston do not let your heartbeat go up-
'Your heart's really fast.' Dangit.
'In my defense, I did just have a "fight".' Preston shrugged, gently rubbing Rob's ears.
'...Your hands are soft.'
'Probably cause- wait what?'

Rob nodded slightly, looking up with a tired smile. 'Mhm. They feel nice.'
'Oh. Uh. Thanks...?' Preston blushed lightly, continuing with the pets nonetheless, and grinning when his friend's tail began wagging. Cute. 'Comfortable there, Roberto?'
'Shut up. You're warm and soft.' Rob huffed, messing Preston's hair up. 'You're legally my pillow now.'
'Fiiine. I'll be your pillow.'

*Nervous shuffling*

Uh.... hi. It's been a while. Ahah.
Hopefully I'll get back into writing this? I'm getting back into the pack fandom since someone dragged me back here. Thanks Kiesh.
