Hi! I want to stay anonymous, so just call me "The Player". I love video games and I play all types of games. My favorite genre being RPGs. For me, I love how easily immersive their worlds are, and their story and character written are considered by some as the best in all of gaming. One of those games that have been praised for many years, is this indie game that blew up when it released, Undertale. I will be honest, when I first heard of it, I didn't think nothing of it. It just didn't interest me at the time, and I don't really tend to play games just because their "popular". But recently, one of my friends brought up Undertale during an online group call, and the rest of my friend group won't shut up about how good it is. They asked me about my thoughts, and when I said that I haven't played it, they practically obligated me to buy it on steam. So once the call was finished, I did exactly that. I didn't know that much about the story besides Sans and his boss theme, MEGALOVANIA. But when I played the game and finished the pacifist, I would call this one of if not, the best game experiences of all time. The music, the characters, the story, everything. It follows a meta-narrative, but in a way that doesn't get in the way of the story, but you can remove all the diegetic elements from the game, and it would still be good. Recently, after getting the pacifist ending, all the neutral ending and tried to get all the fun value events (only got two of them:(  ), I've decided to do a Genocide route. At first, I've found it to be a bit repetitive with some great alternate scenes sprinkled in. Undyne The Undying boss was hard, but I did kill her after a few tries. My friends, however, weren't lying about the Sans boss. It took me more tries than I thought, and I still haven't beaten him. However, one day while I was checking my stuff online, until I noticed this strange add. This is what it said:

"Are you stuck or having problems with a boss in a game? Download this cheat code and put it in the code of said game. It will make the game easier."

I was a bit suspicious, but I was so desperate to kill Sans, that I decided to click it. It sent me to a strange website where it was just the download link in a black background, but I've download it and managed to put it in Undertale's code. This decision changed everything. The things that happened were so disturbing and fascinating, that I had to write it down and I had this gut feeling that I needed to show it to the world instead of keeping to myself. Anyways, let's get back to the topic. After the cheat code was in the game's code, I've booted up the game and I once again start my fight with Sans. I've keep dying to him again and again and the cheat code didn't change anything. After I died to Sans god know how many, I gave up. I was going to reset, get to the first SAVE point, quit the game for a moment to get rid of that cheat code, continue and get the pacifist ending, look up the Genocide ending on YouTube and maybe start playing Deltarune. But when I press the reset button, something strange happened. A message written in red which said the following:

"SO, AFTER EVERYTHING YOU DID, YOU JUST GAVE UP... DON'T WORRY, I WILL FINISH THE JOB FOR YOU."

Then before I knew it, the "Continue" option on the SAVE menu was selected and Frisk started to move, all without my input. When they go up to Sans, this exchange occurs:

Sans: let's get this over w- ("Frisk" tries to attack but Sans teleports behind them) ... not gonna lie, that was kinda smart ("Frisk" tries to attack him again, but teleports to the spot he was before) wow, this is admittedly more fun than fighting you.

But suddenly, Frisk or whatever it was started to go through a grotesque transformation. Bones were breaking, blood was on the floor. The shadows covered it, but by judging Sans's reaction and his face portrait, it wasn't pretty:

Sans: what....the......

That thing started to approach Sans and while it was slowly approaching him, everything started to glitch out and the word "HATE" written in red appeared repeating throughout the screen. I didn't know what to do, so in a desperate attempt, I decided to quit and go to the SAVE menu. But Sans in said menu, at first, I thought that the game didn't load out Sans's sprite, but then he said this:

Sans: w-where am i? (looks around and notices the "Continue" and "Reset") so this is how the anomaly was doing it. (thinks what he is going to do) welp, only doing this just to see what would happen. (summons a Gaster Blaster, hops on it and presses the reset button)

When Sans pressed the reset button, I got sent to the part where you name the fallen human and Sans wasn't seen anywhere. I didn't know how to process what just happened. After a long moment, I decided to name the fallen human while expecting some more weird stuff, but that didn't happen. I started where I usually am after a reset, I walk forwards, then Flowey shows up, with the same speech and all. It was like if all of that never happened at all.
