(Your POV)

Not daring to move, you stayed motionlessly in a crouching position with your eyes closed. Hopefully, they would have mercy with you being in this vulnerable position. Obviously, you had not enough strength in your body to fight the aliens, so you just hoped to be able to arouse compassion.

After the door clicked shut, you heard footsteps nearing you. It took all your self-control not to move while hearing the alien coming closer and closer, your eyelids twitching with each step they took.

The footsteps stopped suddenly very near you, and the only things you were able to hear were the blood rushing through your body and your fearful heartbeat.

The being that had come in the room didn't make any further actions to near you. Instead, you heard it making a sound. It seemed almost like... giggling?

(3rd person POV)

Taehyung had left the room and strode towards the meeting room. Thanks to it being quiet there, he would be able to think deeply. What he wanted to think about was how to gain the General's trust back. If his father would trust him again, Taehyung would gain freedom and would be able to see the fascinating human girl more often without his father's knowledge.

But how could he gain his father's trust back? Taehyung knew that General Minsoo had never fully trusted him. Still, before Taehyung had made a mistake to walk out of the negotiations with the Baldurians, his father at least hadn't ordered the Major General to follow Taehyung around and watch him all the time.

Taehyung was busy thinking about a possible way to convince the Baldurians to join the alliance of his father. His complex mind was working hard to find a solution. When he finally found one, he smirked and prepared himself mentally for what he had to do.

His plan was intelligent, and he felt confident that it was the right thing to do to gain his Minsoo's trust back.

The plan was easy in theory: Since the negotiation with the Baldurians hadn't worked out the last time, he had to convince them otherwise. The Baldurians wouldn't accept a small payment; they wanted as much as they could possibly get. The substance they were attracted to the most was gold because it worked like a drug in their bodies. If they consumed it, they felt euphoria for several hours, a condition they always wanted to experience. But gold was rare on Baldurian, causing it to be very treasured by its inhabitants. Taehyung knew that with enough gold as a payment, he could convince the Baldurians to join the alliance.

Luckily he knew a creature who owned him a lot and easily could get him the huge amount of gold he needed. Taehyung just had to contact him.

But just the thought of calling that person caused discomfort to rise in Taehyung. He had known the person for a long time and even had been close friends with them, but one day they had gotten into a fight over different opinions, which had caused their friendship to break. Taehyung kind of missed interacting with them since they always had been on the same wavelength. Still, he felt insecure about calling them now since the fight had been a long time ago, and they both hadn't made up yet.

He sighed tiredly and touched the screen that immediately lit up. He searched for a name in the contacts and stopped when he found the letters 'Seokjin'. Clearing his throat, he mentally prepared himself for the call and finally touched the screen.

After a short time, the screen lit up, and he could see a handsome face looking at him with pink eyes. Jin always had been known for his beauty. He was famous in the whole universe for being a charming and attractive thief that made all the females and all the males fall in love with him while he was secretly stealing their valuables. And even if Taehyung had been taught to suppress his feelings at any time, he couldn't repress the thought that his friend had gotten even more handsome after all this time. His plumb lips and attractive features like his soft pink hair made him the most beautiful creature in the universe.

Jin blinked confused upon seeing his childhood friend again and greeted Taehyung with a surprised smile.

"Taehyung! Didn't think that you would contact me after all this time!" Jin exclaimed with his honey-like voice. "Why are you covering yourself in black cloth like that? Do you think it's attractive? Mysterious and stuff like that? Because it clearly isn't!"

"Oh, um yes," Taehyung made quite overwhelmed. "Listen, I am calling you because you still own me a favor."

"Oh." Seokjin frowned. He hadn't expected Taehyung to call him after all that happened in the past, but when he finally did, it was apparently just for his own benefit and not out of the lost friendship they had.

"Go on," Jin sighed, resigned.

"I need gold," Taehyung stated sternly, making Seokjin feel alarmed immediately.

"Why would you need-"

"I need it. Like really need it. When will you be able to deliver it to me?"

Seokjin tugged on his lip. "It will take a bit of time to get all the gold." He furrowed his eyebrows worriedly. "Please tell me you're not going to use it for a plan of your father."

"That shouldn't concern you. It's none of your problems", Taehyung told him coldly. He still hadn't forgiven Jin for the things he had said a long time ago.

Seokjin released a long, defeated breath. "I hope you know what you're doing. You know, it is nice to see you again after all this time, even if you act this obnoxious and are fully under the control of your father. At least the fire in your eyes stayed the same. I wish you all the best, brother."

With Jin's last words, the screen got black, and Taehyung was left alone with himself and his thoughts.

Why did Jin say that the fire in his eyes stayed the same? Why did he call him brother, referred to him as a sibling or close friend? Why did he make him feel so insecure and vulnerable?

Quickly, Taehyung tried to think of something else, hoping to escape his confused thoughts.

At least he now knew that he would get the gold, which would help him to convince the Beldurians to accept the alliance. He would prove to his father that he wasn't useless! And then he could spend more time with the human!

Taehyung's eyes grew wide in an alarmed manner. The human! He had forgotten her in the room! For sure, she was waiting anxiously, not knowing what was going on!

Immediately he stood up and strode towards the door, quickly walking to the room where she still was in.

Before he got in, he made the door see-through by touching it to see how the captivating girl was doing and how he could approach her the best way without scaring her. She sat in a crouching position, her arms laying around her knees with her back pointing to the door. He would approach her silently and carefully, hoping that she wouldn't be afraid of him.

As quiet as possible, he opened the door, entered, and closed the door behind him. He then walked further into the room, passing an uncountable amount of black boxes that were still lying on the ground. The girl hadn't moved at the sound of him entering the room, so maybe either she was ignoring him, or she hadn't even heard it.

He walked around her to get a look at her face and stopped abruptly. The girl had her eyes closed and released soft and steady breaths. She was sleeping!

Taehyung wasn't able to contain a small giggle at how cute she was looking. He neared the girl and took her in his arms, carefully not to wake her up. He could have sworn that she moved a bit when he lifted her, but he concluded that it had been unconsciously. 

Breathing in her infatuating scent, he started to walk carefully, afraid that any movement would her wake up.
