It's hilarious to see how many comments I get about the 4th wall breaking.

New readers think it's me, CAT, inserting myself into the story and breaking the 4th wall. Older readers have realized there is actually a narrator of the story that isn't me and they say he is breaking the wall. (Theories are that you guys think it is either Hero or Steve, leaning towards Hero).

Anyways, I should clear something up.

First I will ask, what is a 4th wall break to you guys? What do you define a 4th wall break?

Once you've defined what a 4th wall break is to you, read ahead and see what's actually happening in the story.

Because the formal definition that I am getting from the internet is: a character in a film, TV show, comic or videogame to make any reference to the fact that they are fictional, i.e. "speaking" with the audience and readers.

Which isn't the case here.

First, the narrator or the 4th wall breaker is an actual character in the story. Again theories are Hero or Steve, leaning towards Hero.

Second, the way the style is formatted is that the narrator is telling a story and every now and then he interjects and adds little notes. But this information is for the readers/listeners reference, he isn't actually saying that to any of the characters, and he isn't making a reference to the fact he is fictional.

Imagine it like this.

You are a 6-year-old sitting in a circle around your teacher who is holding up a picture book and telling you a story. The teacher has a habit of getting off task and adding their own short tangents as they tell you the story.

That is what actually is going on. It's not that the narrator is breaking the fourth wall because there is no need to break the fourth wall. The narrator is a character in the story, and they are telling a story to you the readers/listeners. And yes he adds his own comments and information.

Another thing I want to say is that concerns the sequel to GAME OVER (don't worry there is still a long way to go before we even reach that point)

GAME OVER isn't the main story. The narrator is telling you the readers the story of Adam Azure, but you see that is because it has already happened. O:

GAME OVER is the prequel to the real adventure that begins in the second book.

O: Mind blown. 

Which is another reason why the fourth wall is also not being broken, the narrator is not influencing the characters in the story because these events have already happened and are set in stone. He's just telling you the reader the story of Adam. So that in book 2, everything can return to present time.
