The island of Mata Nui was one a barren landscape of the island, the Matoran unable to find a way to travel or even survive

Then came the four siblings
No one knew where they came from, but the Matoran knew they were God's

First came Mata Nui, the eldest of the four who had the powers of Life and Creation, his armor was a beautiful and heavenly gold that matched the mask he wore he called The Mask of Life as his eyes matched the heavens above the Matoran

He created life of nature, animals, the volcano and peek mountain of the island to allow the Matoran to survive

In their gratitude, the Matoran named the island Mata Nui in honor of him who gave them a beautiful paradise of their once barren home as they often called him as The Great Spirit

Next came Emiku, the second born of the four, who wielded a large hammer upon his back, his armor was similar to Mata Nui's of a heavenly gold but his under armor was a brilliant sky blue and a lighter blue eyes than Mata Nui's own eyes

He used his powers and Mata Nui's to make seven masks for The Toa. Seven legendary warriors created by Mata Nui who had control over the various elements Fire, Water, Ice, Wind/Jungles, Stone, Earth and Light of the many elements, the seven were created to protect the Matoran from things that they were unable to protect themselves from

Emiku was known to the Matoran as The Mask Maker to help give the Toa the strength they needed to be physical as the Matoran had made him a home to be where he would make the masks and weapons in thanks

Then came Makuta, the third born of the four who was an opposer to his eldest brother Mata Nui and had the powers of Death and Distruction midnight armor and large midnight bat like wings under his cloak and a pair of nightmarish blood red eyes and had a staff by his side

Though the Matoran feared him of his appearance and his powers, Makuta gave the Matoran the bad end of life, creating disasters to help the Matoran learn from each one to prepare for the unexpected and to have the bonds with another to lend a hand for those in need

There were Matoran that were greatfull that he had taught these many things to prepare for the unexpected and the worst and to have the strength to lend a hand for those in need, he was known to the Matoran as The Shadow and the Matoran gave him various beautiful gems and flowers in a way of thanks, which he always took greatfully of the Matoran's kindness

Finally came Angel, the youngest of the four and the only sister of them who had an entire difference from her brother's. Her armor was a beautiful rose mix hot pink color with gold accents as her limbs under her armor were a stormy grey in color and eyes almost like Mata Nui's own as she wore a cloak of her own like Makuta as her's was beautiful rose color with gold trimmings that was almost see through of the light hitting it often gave the light going through it a rose color but managed to hide a beautiful pair of white angel wings underneath which each feather had a gold tip giving her wings a beautiful golden glow in the light when out

Angel had the powers of Prosperity and Harmony, using her powers she gave the Matoran the needed blessings and skills to learn how to survive and not always rely on the Toa, allowing the Matoran to survive and not be constantly dependent on the Toa

The Matoran were greatfull for Angel giving them the skills and blessings to be able to do things to survive and not rely on the Toa for everything. They cleared an area in the center of the the jungles of Le-Wahi and grew a beautiful flower field for Angel in thanks, where Angel would often reside there as her own home and spend time with her brother's and mainly Makuta

The Matoran were given the ability to survive and thrive on the island with the help of the four siblings and the Toa they made

The people of Mata Nui honor this story of their saviors as their heritage as a reason they're here today and thriving on the island
