A few hours later, the Toa were back at the hotel. They crowded around the TV again, where the train incident was being reported by the news. Tahu was seething as they reported on it.
"Only 71 people survived, with over half of them severely injured." The reporter said. "Luckily, due to Mothra's healing powers, none of the injuries were fatal. We've received word that the explosion was caused by the evil Kaiju Gigan, who was with other Kaiju at the time. All of them were gone at the time, but we managed to catch up with Godzilla back in Tokyo."
The screen changed, and now showed Godzilla being interviewed by another reporter. Tahu grimaced as he saw him.
"So where is the Mask of Control now?" The reporter asked.
"We don't know. We believe Gigan stole it, but it could have been destroyed in the blast." Godzilla explained. Gali sighed in frustration as she heard this.
"Looks like we'll have to find it again." She said.
"If it was destroyed, then our job is done, right?" Lewa asked.
"No, there's no way it was destroyed." Onua said. "The only way to destroy the Golden Masks is to use Ekimu's forge. A regular explosion couldn't harm it."
"At least someone has their hands on it." Pohatu said. "I'm sure we'll find it."
Tahu said nothing. He just stared at Godzilla's face in anger as the interview continued.
"And I've heard that people saw figures wearing coloured armour." The reporter said. "One person said there were six people wearing red, blue, green, brown, black, and white. Did you see anyone matching these descriptions?"
The Toa went silent. Depending on what Godzilla said, their cover could be blown. Godzilla seemed to hesitate before speaking, as if he was thinking hard about what he was going to say.
"That was... nobody. There was no one else out there." He said. "Maybe whoever said that was hallucinating from the blast or something like that, but I didn't see anything like that."
All at once, each of the Toa breathed a sigh of relief.
"Good thing Godzilla's a good liar." Lewa chuckled.
"Yeah, he is." Tahu muttered. Suddenly, the phone on the side table rang. Tahu guessed it was the hotel front desk, so he went to pick it up. When he did, he heard something that worried him.
"Is this Tahu?" The voice on the other end said.
"...Yes. How do you know-" Tahu began, but the voice cut him off.
"Don't respond until I ask. I'm on your side here." It said. "My name is 3DS, and I have the Mask of Control."
Tahu's eyes widened as he heard this. He was about to say something, but he remembered 3DS had told him not to respond. He kept listening.
"I will give it to you, but I need to keep a low profile." 3DS continued. "I'm in room 307. Come alone, tonight, when everyone else is asleep. I'll give you the mask, and then you can leave this timeline tomorrow. Do you understand?"
"Yes." Tahu said. "Thank you."
"Anytime." 3DS replied. Tahu hung up the phone. Obviously, the other Toa were confused by the phone call.
"Who was that?" Kopaka asked.
"Nobody." Tahu said. He put the phone away and went back to his place on the floor where he was sitting before, and continued watching the TV. He wasn't worried about Godzilla getting his hands on the mask anymore. He would have it by tomorrow, and their mission would finally be over.

Finally, it was 1 o clock in the morning. Tahu sat up out of bed and exited his room, making sure to not disturb the others. He carefully closed the door, and made his way to room 246. It was on the same floor, so it wasn't a long walk. Finally, he found the room. He knocked on the door, and after a few moments, it opened slightly. Tahu couldn't see inside due to the darkness inside.
"Tahu?" A voice whispered.
"Yeah, it's me." Tahu said. "And you're 3DS, right?"
"I am." 3DS replied. "One sec." She closed the door, and came back after a few seconds. She didn't open the door the whole way, but she did manage to push a black box out. Tahu took it.
"And the Mask of Control is in here?" He asked.
"See for yourself." 3DS said.
Tahu opened the box, and saw that, indeed, the mask was inside. He smiled happily. Finally, it was over. He closed the box again.
"Thank you so much." He said. "You've been a big help."
"No problem." 3DS said. "Now tomorrow, you all need to leave. If you don't, all of time will cease to exist."
"Wait, what?" Tahu asked. Before 3DS could answer, the door closed. Tahu froze for a moment before deciding to leave back for the hotel room. He had what he wanted, and that was all he needed to know.

The security room was at the bottom of the hotel. Inside the room were several monitors connected to camera's all around the hotel, including floor 2. It also contained a security guard, assigned to watch the monitors. The current security guard was dead on the ground, with his throat slit. Ghidorah grinned as he watched the security footage of Tahu walking back to his room. After Gigan's failure, he tracked down the mask and finally, he found it.
"Good. It'll be easier to take it without a fight." He said. "Destroyah, you have the counter-evidence?"
"I do." Destroyah nodded. He held up a silver disc.
"Good." Ghidorah said. "Make sure I don't appear on the screen."
"Of course." Destroyah nodded again. With that, Ghidorah left the room, and Destroyah say down. He inserted the disc into the computer all the monitors were connected to. One of the monitors glitched out for a brief moment. In reality, Ghidorah walked down the halls of the second floor, until he saw the Toa's room. He produced a device from his pocket. The device was a high-tech lock picking device, which he used to unlock the door. He saw the box containing the mask on a table against the wall. His mouth curled into a grin.
"Perfect." He said. Without waking any of the Toa, he grabbed the box and left. He would have been caught by the security cameras, if it weren't for Destroyah's counter evidence. As soon as Ghidorah appeared on screen, the image was replaced. Now it appeared as if Godzilla was on screen, stealing the mask. Anyone who saw it would immediately blade Godzilla. Destroyah grinned and ejected the disc, right as he received a communication from Ghidorah.
"I have it. How did the footage turn out?" He asked.
"It looks perfect." Destroyah said. "To the untrained eye, it looks like Godzilla stole the mask."
"Fantastic. Let's go." Ghidorah said. The communication ended, and Destroyah left the room, leaving the corpse of the security guard on the ground.
